This was an interesting experience, here's the good, the bad and the ugly. First of all the good, the location was great! This place was far enough out of town that we didn't have to deal with all of the crowds downtown. The neighborhood was beautiful and we very much enjoyed the forested surroundings. It was also close enough to town that heading in for supplies or fun activities was a short trip. We stayed here with our family of 6 and we were very comfortable, there was plenty of space. The kitchen and living room area provided plenty of space and we were comfortable. Now the bad, it appears that the owners may be updating slowly. This means that there are some updated things, but quite a few broken things as well. The screens were ripped, furniture was wobbly, the porch seemed like it would disintegrate beneath our feet, etc. Everything ended up fine, but I would suggest the owners repairing a few more broken items. The ugly is just that the decor is a big outdated. But really, I could tell that from the pictures and it didn't really bother us as the location and size of space was most important to us.
