A serene retreat, The Nest is a 40 foot shipping container professionally converted into a comfortable tiny home that is located on the rim of Little River Canyon.

Escape your busy world while you enjoy the cozy warm indoor space, with quality linens, WiFi and Smart TV.

A gas grill, fire pit and comfortable outdoor furniture are provided for relaxing outside.

Located near: hiking trails, Congo Falls Park, Orbix Glass, Big Time Cafe, Woody’s Grill, and Akins Furniture.

Nice get away
My husband and I wanted a place to get away for a few days. This place was so cute! Very creative and away from the city. 25 minute drive to Fort Payne. We really enjoyed our stay there.

Great location. Everything great except 2 things, 1. exterior lighting is lacking with the solar lights and 2. the steepness of entrance road depending which way you come in. Should be a foot note. I didn't attempt the stèep grade coming in at night because I couldn't see how far it went. Turned around and found the other way.

Cozy Getaway
My husband and I stayed 5 days at The Nest and had a wonderful time. The place was extremely clean and even came with a bag of marshmallows for toasting over the fire pit, candy, Nutri-Grain bars, dog treats, shampoo and conditioner. The bed was very comfortable with 4 bed pillows! It’s a cozy space but we had everything we needed. We really enjoyed making a fire with the generous supply of firewood. We highly recommend The Nest!

Wow!!
Speechless, we were speechless when we arrived! The place is absolutely stunning, everything was so clean and organized, fire pit was ready to go, extra propane for the grill, the list can go on and on! Communication was phenomenal and it was one of our best rental experiences we’ve had to date! We can’t wait to come back! Our pup enjoyed it as well, it was his first trip to the mountains so it was an adjustment but the property was perfect for him! Although it rained most of our plans out, there was nothing that could’ve compared to sitting in the deck drinking coffee listening to nothing except the dew rolling off the leafs of the trees.. Absolutely recommend and cannot wait to come back already!!

Labor Day Weekend Getaway
Rented The Nest for a long Labor Day weekend. Trying something new with a Tiny Home. Absolutely loved it and the location. Far enough away to enjoy the surrounding nature but close enough to enjoy amenities.owner went over and above making myself and my dog feel welcome. Dog bones and dog bowls for fur babies. Everything was provided for, comfy and welcoming! Two beautiful outdoor sitting areas with plenty of wood for fires,even marshmallows. Owner provided a list of nearby things to do and places to eat. Dont let this place pass you by!

The property was very peaceful and secluded. Great living spaces outdoors and comfortable indoors. Kitchen is well stocked and clean. We really appreciated the clean well water. Host is fantastic proving lots of information about the area.

Loved everything about this place. Very private and secluded, outdoor fire pit is awesome. My dog loved it. My dog caused some slight damage and the owner was very responsive and understanding. Highly recommend this place for any couple looking to get away for a while

Fantastic!
So glad we booked here instead of a hotel. Being that we had dogs traveling with us, and they were welcome was a huge deciding factor. The entire stay was peaceful. The host thought of every little detail, including treats for our pets! They go above and beyond to make it a wonderful experience! It was exceptionally clean and already cool when we walked in. We were super impressed!

Very relaxing and quaint. It was very peaceful. We enjoyed our stay and felt like we were out in the countryside.. Would have liked a little view over looking a river, mountains or a meadow. Loved going to see the Desoto Falls and Little River Falls, the hiking was great. Nice get away!

A perfect getaway
I wanted to visit Orbix Glass Blowing which was close by. Fort Payne has changed so much and enjoyed it greatly. Hiking at Desoto Falls and back road drivng. We forgot marshmallows but a bag of them were there along with a glass jar of dog treats. The atmosphere was awesome. Campfires every night. The perfect getaway.

Perfect location and house to stay at Little River Canyon
This house is so neat and unique. We came to the area to explore Little River Canyon and DeSoto State Park for our 20 year anniversary. The house is located in a great location. It’s secluded and quiet but not too far from town and the canyon entrance. The inside has everything you need. The outside of the house is perfect for nature lovers. The host was great and communicated with us prior to our stay. He gave us awesome recommendations for dining in the area. We would recommend eating at Woody’s Grill in Dogtown. It has amazing food and service. We definitely would return to this house.

Perfect for a Weekend Getaway!
"The Nest" was a perfect spot to getaway to for the weekend. Me and my girlfriend enjoyed the attention to detail in the amenities offered here. All of the local attractions are no more that a 30 min drive, and the town of Fort Payne has some nice restaurants and local shopping.

We enjoyed this property so much!!! It is very nicely decorated and clean inside and had many extras!!! It’s remote, but not too far from many things in the surrounding area. We enjoy being outside so the deck and fire pit were perfect!!! The property manager is extremely nice and helpfull!!!

Perfect Getaway for 2
The Nest had everything we were looking for - seclusion, proximity to nature, and a comfortable place to crash at night. Everything you need is there. Kitchen and bathroom supplies, blankets, and firewood... And even the dogs are thought of. The owner kept in close and prompt communication any time I messaged him. And the area around the area for miles around The Nest is ready for exploring. So much good hiking and country driving! Check out the Cherokee Rock Village if you're there.

Perfect getaway spot
My spouse and I were in Mentone to drop a kid off at a weekend camp and needed a place to hangout for a couple of days. The Nest was perfect. It is exactly as advertised. Very clean and comfortable. Easy access to Fort Payne with restaurants and shopping as well as access to Little River Canyon for hiking. We will definitely be back. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Quiet Staycation
This place was great. It was away from all the city noise. If you love sitting outside only hearing birds, and critter roaming then this is for you. The Shipping home was really amazing. This is a good couples retreat. We will be booking again.
