Perfectly preserved traditional hotel, 2nd oldest in Norway, 2790 I think! Warm and welcoming, sumptuous furnishings and really nice staff….

Christmas market trip

This was a last minute change of hotel. The room was lovely and spacious. The bed and sofa were all really comfortable. The reception staff were welcoming and friendly, the lady on reception on departure helped us to call a taxi using the tablet.

Lovely well kept old hotel in a convenient location about four to six? blocks from bus station. We were able to walk (but cabs were available) because the weather was cold but it had not been snowing for several weeks in late February. No elevators so stairs may be a challenge with luggage. Restaurant looked busy and good but we did not eat at the hotel due to other plans.

Normal standard - normal expensive Norway

The place was perfectly fine. Nothing completely amazing, nothing bad. Standard Norwegian prices. The breakfast was fabulous! There were no other guests eating for the last hour of service- and there was a huge buffet of food- seems like a lot probably goes to waste unfortunately. Or hopefully staff get to eat! :)

The hotel was reasonably nice. My only real issue was that the room was quite different to the images on the weblisting. I had a window that opened out to a small ally way full of bins and airconditioner condensers, so even with the closed, double glazed window, it was noisy. The room was really hot with no visible airconditioning or ability to cool the room, so with the window open, it stank of skip bins. There was no laundary service, and after living on an island for 10 days, I really needed to do some washing... but the only option I could find was the dry cleaner down the street who charged me 135 Krone per KG to wash some clothes that came back as if they'd just been rinsed. Look, I loved the city, great place, loved the Fjord... but the hotel was a bit lack lustre.

Koselig hotell med atmosfære og noe slitte rom.

Svært hyggelig betjening og atmosfære. Rommet begynte å bli litt slitt. Hadde ellers rom med sola steikende inn hele dagen/kvelden, var nok 30 grader på rommet til langt på kveld. Hjalp lite å lufte. Ikke aircondition. Men vanskelig å klage på det fine været….

Hygelig hotel med sentral beliggenhet og parkering

Sentralt beliggenhet med rimelig parkering på hotellets plass eller i gratis nettperkering gaten like ved. Fine rom med nyoppuset bad, med kjøleskap og TV. Hyggelig have for frokost og middag. En hyggelig betjening som snakker norsk.
