Absolutely loved The Carlton Hotel! It was gorgeous in and out. The staff is awesome and helpful and the location is just perfect for everything you could want to do! Also, the Back Porch Bakery in the hotel is magnificent way to start your day(s) while there! Then the new bar on the other side of the hotel was a perfect way to start our evenings!!! We will definitely be returning to here every time we are in the area.

Enjoyed our stay at this property. Several wine tasting rooms next store, as well as a bakery and ale house. Cielo is across the street. Parking wasnt too bad. Beds and rooms were comfortable. Only negative experience, that while we love dogs ourselves, its not pleasant to be woken up at 730 in the morning on a Sunday by a dog barking in the property. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay and will be back.

The hotel is very cute, however, the king size leaned to the left, so if you roll over, you ended up on the floor. The room was cute, but had a musty/moldy smell, had to open the windows to air it the first night. The second night coming back in from a wedding, same thing. The fridge freezes over and a soda can actually split in half and exploded all inside, and leaked outside, had to clean. No parking the second night after returning from the wedding. I checked out and moved to another hotel.

This place is a gem in lots of ways. I love the history and the design of the hotel, nostalgic historic feel. Room was spacious and had a warm feeling. Tube was awesome and at over 6 feet tall i was able to soak comfortably. The furnishings however are worn out! Sitting on chairs was uncomfortable and the bed was not at all comfortable to sleep in! The seat cussions and the bed mattress were soft and spongy, not at all comfortable. The location of the hotel is close to a great bakery, restaurants and there was live music at one spot across the street.

Elegant old hotel. Unfortunately, the staff at the front desk seemed inconvenienced by our presence. The room, while spacious, had a strong perfume-type odor that gave us a headache and stained carpeting. I would not choose to stay here again.
