This trip to the Westin San Jose was great, really nice place. The shower was amazing, rainfall shower head and it got hot quickly. The staff is very helpful. But there are a few things they could do better on. 1 - This is such a fancy hotel, why do they skimp on their toilet paper? Most everything else was first class, but why use TP that I is worse than what you will find in the bathroom at a gas station. 2 - They don't tell you about pet fees and "mandatory" valet parking. The only reason it is needed is because there isn't really a choice as there are no other lots close by.
The pet fee is $40 a night, the valet parking is $51 a night and the parking is offsite. I will give credit to their valet employees, they were quick to check us in and quick to retrieve your car. 3 - Another thing about going first class but then failed in an area would be their TV's in the rooms. There was no ability to access streaming services on them, they have Direct TV which sounded great, but they have the lowest selection of channels I would expect in a hotel as first class as this ones wants to be. We had a great stay, but these 3 items could use some attention, and Expedia could have added in the parking situation and the pet fee.
