The property had trails, a pond, fenced in vineyard, beautiful views and plenty of wildlife ... not to mention farm fresh eggs! The cabin was very well appointed and had everything we needed. Most importantly our dog gave this place a "two paws up" review! Can't rave enough about the hosts! Communication was great and they were readily available if we needed...

We only stayed a weekend, to attend the Sounds of the Mountains storytelling festival at nearby Camp Bethel. We hope to go back when we can stay longer, to see more of the town & surrounding area."

"Unable to get a hotel room so this was the only alternative. The RV was listed as big enough to sleep 4. Three would have been possible but 4 a stretch and there’s no way 4 people could have taken a hot shower. I got a lukewarm one day one (only in for several minutes) and my son’s was ice cold. Also the place was clean but smelled of stale beer. Also the AC ran constantly even though thermostat was set at 75 degrees. Place was frigid."

"Pros: Very quiet, comfortable beds, pretty views and sounds from the creek, hospitable and helpful host - con: slight sulfur smell from the water at times (which was disclosed and harmless), but it didn’t last and we didn’t find it bothersome. All in all, this was a well equipped and nicely located cabin which I would recommend."

"We were a little intimidated by the drive up in the rain, but once we got to Gobbler Knob things were great! Everything we needed was there, it was comfy and clean and when the rain cleared, the deck was fantastic. The view off the deck was the perfect way to start and end the day and it was an easy drive down to Floyd for entertainment, food and exploring. We loved listening to all the birds around the place."

"Large cabin that is conveniently located near restaurants, many popular destinations and main thoroughfares. Cabin was clean and host quickly responded to any questions we had. Very steep driveway up to the cabin (yes, Roanoke has mountains!) -- but don't be discouraged -- we soon realized that parking was available in an area at bottom of hill with steps up to cabin. It was difficult to turn around at the top with a large pickup truck. Larger vehicles should park at designated area at bottom of...
