I enjoyed the lady at sign in. She was professional and very friendly. Very clean hotel in lobby and room. The downtown area was a bit much for me though and I did not realize how much homeless people have taken over that area. I feel badly for the hotel staff and who ever lives there.

To Expensive to not have a working ice machine. To Expensive to not let me swim after 9pm. To Expensive to not have a soda machine or snack machine. The AC was so loud that I left at 2am. Im very disappointed that this place cost so much. The office was in the back. Hard to see it was opened. Not safe feeling.

Average hotel, convenient location. The staff member who completed the check-in was very nice, however the overnight employee was extremely rude and not friendly, accused us that we were being loud and guests were complaining, however the guests that were complaining were on the opposite side of the hotel from us and were referring to others. We were running a little behind with checking out, and checked out 30 minutes after we were supposed to (11:30a) and received a rude phone call and a an obnoxious knock right after the phone call.

I read many of the reviews and I decided to stay here. I had no problems. There were homeless around but I always felt safe. Room was nice and I found the staff to be awesome. I’d stay there again.

There are two nice things I can say about this place: staff were very pleasant to transact with, and our room was nice and quiet despite the central location (which also was a plus for us, and actually the reason we chose this place for our one-night stay - we wanted to be in midtown and this was closest). Cleanliness was ok, given what they have to work with - the place is kind of a dump, WAY overdue for renovation; it may have been non-smoking for decades but still had the stale reek of cigarette smoke past, and yes, that was black mold on the bathroom wall/ceiling. Liquid also pooled on the antiquated A/C unit (which we weren’t using in winter), and steadily leaking on the walkway out in front of the room. We had other overnights in other towns during this trip, at slightly lower prices and with a much lower level of skeeziness. Again, the people working there were super nice but it felt like the kind of place they show criminals on the lam hiding out, in movies. Ick. Central Sacramento needs some non-luxury but *decent* places to stay overnight (because who wants to be stuck in the burbs?).

Good room, good location.
Good place and location-close to many restaurants that you can walk to. Parking is snug but very good lighting. Don’t try to find the address with google maps, it was way off. Skip the room coffee and the free breakfast if you want a good breakfast. Room was good. There is a good coffee shop around the corner.

Nice & easy stay.
Our stay was for personal medical appointments at Sutter. The desk people were friendly and helpful directing us to eating places in the area. The only changes I would suggest would be longer black out curtains in the window.

I chose the hotel based on being able to park a 9' tall van and that worked out well. It is also reasonably walkable. The room surfaces seemed clean, but the carpet was disgusting. I did not ever walk barefoot in the room.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
I tried to save a little money. If you can afford another $30 or $40 a night highly suggest going to another hotel nearby. I didn't expect luxury, but nor did I expect a room that smelled like mold and mildew.

lot's of homeless people around the property, also some sketchy people passing through the backstreet all the time. Breakfast is pretty light.
