The staff were very pleasant and helpful. For cruisers on Holland America Rotterdam, this hotel is walking distance to the cruise terminal. Room was clean and decor very cool. The restaurant and bar was exceptional too.

We arrived in Rotterdam on one of the hottest days in Europe. The reception was very friendly and even in the heat they were real troopers. (Note: No air conditioning in the lobby but really good air in the rooms). The hotel is right next to the cruise terminal and very handy if you are catching a cruise ship.

The historic building is beautiful with heavy wood entrances and ship trunk end tables. Just remember the steps to entrance with luggage can be difficult. Also in our room there ere two steps down/up to bathroom. There are also thresholds to notice when entering doors that are uneven. That being said the location could not be better for cruise terminal.
