"The place is just as advertised, clean and well-maintained. I got there at dark in the rain, so it was a bit hard to find amongst the other modulars in the cul-de-sac, but the host provided detailed directions which made the search much easier lol. Jonathan is responsive and provides all the last minute things you might forget for your stay, such as sunblock, water bottles, and even dog dishes for your furry co-pilot, so you can focus on hitting the beach once you get there :)"

"Spent the week at this amazing house with my son, his friends and their moms to celebrate their upcoming high school graduation. The boys loved the theater room..huge screen to watch playoff hockey. We loved the views and all the modern conveniences! It was a great week...wish I was back there now!"

"Overall we liked the accommodations and our stay overall. My only grievance is that we were not advised in the listing that the pool would be closed. Listing mentioned that the gas fireplace would not be available but made no mention of the pool. That’s a key amenity to leave out of the listing. Weather was great and we would have used it. We were also not offered any credit for their oversight when we inquired. Thank god we had no children with us. Last is the sliding glass doors. These three...

"The house was superb. Exactly what we were looking for. Clean, organized, plenty of space and privacy for guests. The property manager was attentive and quick to respond. Would highly recommend!"

"Location close to beach / pier. House needs some TLC…vents had black dust blown out along paint. AC stopped working / froze over and needed a full day to defrost and get fixed which were essentially the 2 full days we were there (not incl arrival/depart days). At night heater made burning smell and set off smoke detector at 2am. All fixed the day before we left. Hot tub was very nice. Some light bulbs were out / not checked before arrival"

"We had a relaxing and enjoyable stay at the Pickled Mermaid! The house is close to the beach with great views of the water from the large wraparound deck. Beds were comfortable with a TV in all rooms (except for the kids room) and the house was well-equipped with what we needed. The remodeled master bath with large shower was nice. Rodanthe is a sleepy town - perfect if you are looking to get away from the crowds in other more populated parts of OBX and have a quiet getaway."
