By the appearance, the building used to be a normal house that now operates as a hotel by renting the rooms (which seems common in Cinque Terre).
Bed is comfortable, room is clean and bathroom is in pretty good shape.
We did have to check-in maximum at 1:00 in the afternoon, otherwise no one would be there to check us in, and we'd have to wait until the next morning. This really poses a problem with travel logistics and basically made us have to wake up at 5:00am, which is not what I had in mind for vacation.
Other than that, only 1 key opens both the front door and the room door. Either there's a fancy security system in place which I don't know, or anyone staying in the hotel can unlock any other room, which is obviously awful.
