Redington Shores is a small, relaxed beach town that’s close to the big attractions of Florida’s Pinellas County. Choose to do nothing but laze on the pristine, white sand with a book or participate in watersports. You’ll find charming boutiques for shopping along with restaurants with views of the beach and the Intracoastal Waterway.
Kick off your shoes to walk along the sands of North Redington Beach, a neighboring town, with the DoubleTree Beach Resort between the two. The long stretch of white sand provides plenty of space to spread out and find a spot for yourself. After swimming or surfing, stop for coffee in town before browsing beachwear boutiques.
If you’re traveling with kids, bring them to Constitution Park. Enjoy a picnic and relax while they run around the colorful playground with swings and a jungle gym. There’s also a shuffleboard and a volleyball court. Del Bello Park overlooking the inner coastal waters is a great spot to launch your kayak or go fishing.
As the town is wedged between Madeira Beach and Indian Shores, there’s plenty more to do.
If you like mini golf, visit Smugglers Cove Adventure Golf, just a 5-minute drive away. Play 18 holes with caves, waterfalls and live alligators on display. The course features an Educational American Alligator Exhibit and you’ll feed the reptiles with cane fishing poles. When it’s time for lunch, stop at the clubhouse and snack bar with ice cream and beer.
Madeira Beach is home to John’s Pass Village and Boardwalk. Visit Hubbard’s Marina to choose a boat tour, including fishing charters and pirate ship cruises. Stroll along the boardwalk to browse in souvenir shops. Along the way, find fantastic restaurants with seafood menus and water views.
If you’re flying, arrive at St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport, which is a 25-minute drive away. Stay in a hotel close to the beach to enjoy walking from the sand to the restaurants and shops of Redington Shores.
