"My husband and I have visited North Pole several times now for our getaways from city life in Texas. We have always chosen this particular host and her VRBO properties because they’re reasonably priced, clean, comfortable and beautiful. Jamie, the host is a great communicator. Charming, comfortable and so very welcoming!

"We traveled from our home in Anchorage for a quick summer warm up in Fairbanks. 3 adults, one teen. The Amazing and thoughtful hosts have created space that brings a smile to your face as soon as you step inside. It’s a special place and you can feel the love they put into it. Laura & Martin have collected wonderful antiques, Alaskan historical items, literature and even fossils! The home is warm and inviting space for a family with lots of cozy blankets, great beds, with board games, snacks and breakfast items. Even honey for my tea! Waking up in the master bedroom with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the forest was peaceful and relaxing. Our hosts were great communicators, kind and friendly. They offered ideas for adventures and answered questions quickly. I’m a big fan of Gilmore House and we can’t wait to return!"

LOG CABIN on the beautiful Chena River! Sleeps 4* AURORA viewing

"My husband and I spent our 11th anniversary together here! The property was absolutely beautiful and our hosts made us feel more than welcome. I loved the heated floors, the decor, and the snacks/drink mixes set out for us. Heather was more than helpful offering the grill/chairs/and fire pit for our use. We enjoyed seeing Chena Hot Springs and Denali national park. Our last day there was a surprise of beautiful snow in May, and we got to see a moose walking in the snow along the river. Such a quiet and enjoyable time! "

Wonderful family vacation

"My family traveled from FL, TN, and Juneau to watch my daughter graduate from UAF. The home was everything we expected and more. The hosts were super helpful and responsive. The home is absolutely stunning and exactly what the pictures look like. The kitchen was fully stocked with coffee and other items that made our stay so comfortable. We saw two moose in the morning across the river between 5-6am, beaver, and many birds daily. I highly recommend this home."
