“This was a last minute booking. We got our room for a very good price even by budget hotel standards. It was a no frills hotel but staff were extremely helpful and friendly and the setting was so peaceful. Our room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Our dog loved exploring around the race course (not a race day) despite the weather. ”

“Booked again since we were overly impressed when we stayed here last year. Proprietors are ever so polite, friendly and accommodating. Full Scottish breakfast with cereals, yoghurts, toast, fruit, tea and coffee in abundance. Clean room with comfy bed has tea/coffee making facilities with biscuits and bottled water complimentary each day. Cannot recommend highly enough... we shall return.”

“Have heard nlt so good things about this hotel in the past but this is the first time I have stayed. It has new owners and well I must say they are turning it around. The price was very competitive and this included breakfast which was very good. The room was a little dated but was very clean, the bathroom is brand new and very clean and modern. The staff were very friendly. We didnt eat apart from breakfast so cant comment on the resteraunt other than the breakfast. We would stay again, also……

“Top notch b&b. Lovely big rooms with lots of small treats and more toiletries than you can shake a stick at. Really friendly owners, lovely cooked breakfast. Full marks all round.”

“There is no air con and the window cannot be opened. There is no curtain near the bath tub. No staff come to clean up after 11 am. Breakfast which costs 12.5 pounds but very few choices . Small hotel not quite the same as in the advertisement. ”

“The property was very nice and in a good location. Check in was very easy and the host communicated very well. 5 stars for the property and host. The only reason for the 4 stars overall, was because the kitchen lacked some of the basics (salt, sugar...) and the beds were not terribly comfortable. However, we would stay here again if in the area. The cliff view, cleanliness, and great host communication was appreciated.”
