Hidden gem in a little Parisian street
Solar Hotel was an excellent place of accommodation for us in Paris. It was only a 5-10min walk to the nearest train station, making getting around by foot or train simple. We stayed on the top floor of Solar Hotel’s second building about 200m away from the main complex, however there was absolutely nothing wrong with that. The room was small but in decent condition, with everything that you require and it’s eco-friendly! But I must say the best thing about this place is the breakfast they provide. Class Parisian, with coffee/tea, juice, fresh baguette, croissant and yoghurt along with jams and butter. For the price and location alone, this place is a great spot, especially for those on a tighter budget!

Great location
Wifi in the room would have been helpful and breakfast options were minimal. Staff were helpful and the neighborhood was fantastic.

Good location, around 30 mins to Eiffel by metro. There are markets and cafes around. Also close to Orlybus stop if you fly to Orly. No wifi at room and very slow on lobby.

well worn hotel in lovely area with good service
The room was compact, but that is expected. The air conditioning was most welcome in a heatwave. The bathroom was a little small, with a poorly arranged shower stall which was too narrow and which let water all over the bathroom floor. The overall condition was tidy but worn. Breakfast was adequate. Staff was helpful and friendly

Some units of this property have AC but doesn’t turn them on unless the temp is in 30 degree centigrade which feels like 100 degree in us. When I booked this hotel I searched property with ac. It was rip off. It was so hot and we were on a non ac property. The staffs were nice enough to give a fan, but was not enough for the heat.... be careful while booking the property.

Not clean but conveniently located
I guess for the price it wasn’t bad, but I cannot say much about the cleanliness. There was a bobbie pin on the floor of the bathroom when we arrived and it moved to the floor outside the bathroom the next day and was in a groove under the door the next. The shower was so small that anyone slightly overweight would not be able to turn around in it. The water pressure was so low that a shower took me at least twice as long as usual. I liked that the window opened onto the courtyard and the light breakfast was nice. Location was our primary reason for booking since it’s very near the entrance to the Catacombs and we didn’t want to pay outrageous fees for reserved entrance. The bed was surprisingly comfortable but the toilet was not- one side literally touched the side of the shower!!

Agréable séjour
Je suis arrivée en fin d'après-midi et j'ai trouvé porte close! Mais le gérant est très vite revenu et son accueil a été très sympathique. La nuit a été calme,la chambre simple mais confortable,le petit déjeuner agréablement servi par des personnes atten- tionnées... Je reviendrai sûrement!

Nous venons depuis des années 1 à 2 fois par an, pour s'offrir un we à paris... en vrai ce sont nos enfants qui nous offrent une nuit et un concert ou spectacle... on adore le quartier, la proximité du métro, et l'hotel. Son engagement et son personnel.. inconditionnels nous sommes et pour un prix très raisonnable pour être en plein paris!!!

Regular. Mala relación precio-calidad.
Experiencia un tanto decepcionante (sin llegar a extremos), principalmente porque lo mostrado en fotos y anuncios no se vio reflejado en nuestra estadía. El personal, muy amable y cordial. La habitación, un tanto pequeña. El baño, muy mal diseñado, con un área de ducha sin divisiones en el piso, que resulta en un baño completamente mojado (lo que incluye piso, inodoro, lavamanos) luego de una ducha. Buen TV (HD) y paupérrimo WiFi: casi inexistente en calidad de conexión, y de velocidad pobrísima. Servicio gratuito de bicicletas, no utilizado. Desayuno, sólo correcto (poca variedad). El área donde se ubica (Montparnasse) es muy linda, repleta de tiendas, bares y restaurantes. En resumen, un establecimiento que, si bien no es malo, tiene una relación precio-calidad que no lo favorece.

Ótima localização
O hotel é simples, mas atende bem àquelas pessoas que querem se hospedar com um bom custo-benefício e com ótima localização. Tudo o que você precisa está nos arredores, inclusive uma grande estação de metrô. Sugiro melhorias no banheiro, sobretudo no box, pois na hora do banho a água escorre para todo o piso, não há divisória. Para minimizar o problema, precisamos tomar banho segurando a ducha.

Un hôtel pas trop loin de la gare Montparnasse, très près d'une station de métro, dans un quartier semi-piéton très sympa. Les petits plus : le petit déjeuner est compris, des vélos sont mis à disposition gratuitement et le côté écolo de tout l'hôtel pour un prix raisonnable.

Besoin d'un coup de jeune !
Ecologie ne veut pas dire vieillerie : les équipements sont vieux (salle d'eau) mais propres - Les murs sont très très mal insonorisé (voix, ronflements, etc.); on croirait qu'on est dans la même chambre pratiquement - l'emplacement est top (proximité commerces et restaurants - quartier calme et tranquille). Un autre exemple : les poubelles de recyclage font pitié (étiquettes papier cornées) - on voyage aussi 2 fois sur 3 avec le matériel de ménage dans l'ascenseur. Petit déjeuner : bio (croissant pas sûr) mais ne vous attendez pas à avoir du choix même si moi ça ne me dérange pas, par contre pas de salé.

Joli week-end ....et ecolo en plus!
Choisi d’abord pour le prix très intéressant,surtout à Paris,avons apprécié qu’il soit « ecolo »dans la mesure du possible.Petit déjeuner juste ce qu’il fallait....très agréable le beurre et les confitures dans des coupelles.Nous n’avons pas pu profiter du petit jardin vu le temps mais il nous donnait envie!Une prochaine fois sûrement !
