"This hostel is located right across the street from the blackwater rafting company who we booked our adventure tour of the glow worm caves with. The hostel is near quiet farm property. We booked a room that had a private bathroom. It was clean and perfect for our stay. The main room and kitchen was welcoming with a fire going keeping the hostel comfortable. "We were delighted to start our stay in NZ at Brooke and Charles’s place. Immediately, we were taken by the many birds singing and otherwise general quiet of the property. It is a working farm, so we enjoyed the chickens and cat wandering by. The patio offers a perfect seat for the sunset. The mornings offer views of fog settled in between the hills. The location is a short drive to Otorohanga and the Waitomo Caves area. Brooke was communicative and kind. "

"This was a very unique place to stay and would have been comfortable overall except it was very warm inside the room. It was a very humid night and the fan and air conditioner could barely keep up. Had it been cooler it would have been much more enjoyable."
