"The property is amazing. Only received low score based on accuracy of listing. My cabin was not one that was pictured, however I did still enjoy the cabin and it was cool and comfortable. The pool was…. Not as clear as the pictures. The food from Jack at the bar was 10/10 phenomenal. I recommend the buffet and full English breakfast. The road coming up the hill is a little rough, but manageable. I enjoyed my stay. It was quiet and comfy. Very relaxing."

"The listing does not show the cabana in question. As we were the only guests at the time, we were given the option of 2 different cabanas neither of which matched the pics in the in listing. The cabana we ended up with had 2 very tiny bedrooms with no place to put our luggage. The washroom needed upgrades as the shower head was hanging on for it's life. "We arrived late but Peter was there to meet us. The Iguana Roost was a great little place to stay. We enjoyed searching the property for the more than 40 fruit bearing plants. Thanks for the map! We are from Alaska so the sounds of the environment were very new to us, but waking up at 5am, not because the sun is still up or the sun never comes up, it was home. For those new to driving in San Ignacio, make sure you can use Google maps! There are one to many one-way streets!"

"Our family of 5 stayed in two cabins in late December 2023 and had a great time. The cabins were clean and the beds were very comfortable. Each had a porch looking out over fields and the Macal River. Manon was a fantastic host. She gave us great recommendations on places to eat in San Ignacio and things to do in the Cayo Region. The Lodge is down a dirt road that is very bumpy (like most roads in the region) and became very muddy because of the rain so we parked about 1/3 mile from the lodge...

"The ranch is a great place to meet all kinds of people. Bob the manager of the location is helpful, kind, and makes everyone feel as if it is their home. Could use a couple of burn borrows so trash can be burned. That would help keep the grounds cleaner. Kitchen needs a stove with an oven so people can cook their meals. Other then that it is wonderful!!"

"We arrived in the evening with another couple (we rented both Casitas) and there was only a key for one of them. Contacted the owner and they sent someone to bring the key to the other Casita about an hour later. The Casita had not been cleaned and we had to wait for it to be cleaned before we could bring our bags in. "I was back in town for work and had wanted to try the place. Nice cabin, very clean, friendly staff, excellent food in the restaurant. I requested use a bicycle. When I finally received a bicycle the tires were deflated and seat was too low (needed a wrench), and there was no lock. So the bicycle did not work out. "We arrived at 7:35, it was dark and kinda sketchy. We drove up a really dangerous incline and washboarded dirt road to get to a locked gate and no one answering the phone or a honk. We contacted expedia..aka....a robot....and they proceeded to tell me even though i payed the insurance for this exact reason that the people wouldnt give my money back....and they couldnt contact them yet they leave this ad for this property up. Not ok and wont be using this service again. "

"My sister and I loved our stay here! The restaurant is great, the staff is so helpful getting excursions booked, and the iguana project is wonderful. The photos do not do this place justice. Sitting by the pool as the sun began to go down and all the lights were on was simply beautiful! The hotel is on a big hill, so while I did do a lot of walking because town is very close - that may not be for everyone! "
