"We had a pretty good stay at the Toyoko Inn Saga. The Japanese style breakfast was great for one of us. The tub was nice but there were hairs left in the bathroom and a few pieces of plastic left on the floor of our cleaned room. Note that check in is at 4! Pretty late and the latest of anywhere we stayed in Japan. You are not allowed in a minute before 4. They have self check in and checkout machines that seem redundant. "Very excellent service and management. This hotel is fabulous! The room was very luxurious and clean. Staffs were kind and responsive. I received the Expedia VIP upgrade and it was very well done. In addition to the luxurious room on the top floor (next to the gym and vending machine), I was given a complimentary ticket to a cafe located in the center (Hakata station). The employees there welcomed me and explained me the options. I chose coffee cake and those were very good. Location of the hotel is not on the main street, but nonetheless very close to the metros and easy to get to on foot by metro. Basically, it was the best service you could receive from a non-five-star hotel."
