Well, Mr. Ray Rodriguez, we are proud to offer our home to families that will treat our home and our neighboring homes with respect and not be treated as a party venue. Your contract with us was 6 adults, 6 children, not to exceed 14 maximum. We are a pet/animal-free home, non-smoking property. On multiple levels you renegued, not only on your contract, but your verbal promise that you would follow these house rules. First, you had an unauthorized 20+people party at our house which led to a neighbor complaining about what you call a “small problem” about parking. Let’s be clear. You were not honest to us about your intentions on the property, which triggered a chain of events, i.e., multiple cars- we counted 10 (we have a 4 car max), and one of your guest’s cars blocking the driveway of our neighbor’s home. When we kindly requested this car be moved, out of respect for our neighbor, we were talked back to by your nieces and nephews, saying “We can park anywhere we like.” This was after we had reached out to you on multiple occasions via text, phone calls, and heard no response from you. Had you responded to our text & phone calls during this 2-hour period, all of this would not have happened. Second, you signed our Pet policy agreement that you would abide by our pet/animal-free home. The day you checked in you asked if you could bring 2 dogs. We expressed we are an animal-free home and you agreed you would find “other accommodations” for the 2 dogs. We trusted your word. You were dishonest with us and brought your dogs. Our cleaner spent the extra time & energy sanitizing the homes in order to prepare for our next guests’ stay. We didn’t even charge you for this. Thirdly, our home is a non-smoking property, especially inside the home, Mr. Rodriguez. You signed the rental agreement indicating you’d abide by our policy of no smoking inside the home, inside the covered patio area or within 20 feet of main entrances/exits of property. This includes tobacco products, vaping, marijuana. We kindly ask guests to use our designated smoking section on the property. Had you been respectful of this house rule, the main home would not have smelled like marijuana after you checked out and your cigar butts left on the property would have been disposed of. We didn’t charge you anything extra for smoke damage and cleanup. Sadly, we trusted you but you broke multiple rules.
