A real gem in Oban. Clean, quiet and comfortable room, excellent breakfast, friendly and helpful host. We totally enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend to anyone planning a trip to Oban.

A gem

Clean, comfortable, friendly, welcoming. I enjoyed the night I stayed there and the breakfast in the morning. A great find given that I hadn’t planned on staying in Oban at all.

Lovely B&B in Oban

I had an excellent stay at the Failte Guesthouse. My room was quiet, comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was really lovely with lots of choice. The host Thomas, was very welcoming, friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend this bed and breakfast and wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again.

Perfect for a night in Oban! This charming B&B was located up the hill away from the noise and crowds yet walkable to everything in town. Parking was right in front of the house. Thomas the owner was very attentive, friendly and helpful. Our room and adjoining bathroom which was up on the second floor was bright, modern and squeaky clean. Rooms are stocked with coffee, teas and shortbreads. Breakfast was lovely and delicious! Pretty much all options were available including but not limited to a classic Scottish breakfast, toast, oatmeal, fruits, cereals and teas. The only call outs to travelers and I want to emphasize it wasn’t an issue for us is that rooms are on the small size so if you spend a lot of time in your room or have loads of luggage it will be tight and also water pressure from the shower is light. Overall would highly recommend and would stay there again if we ever made it back to Oban!

A delightful stay

We were greeted by Thomas who was very friendly and kindly upgraded us to a larger room free of charge. Thomas was also kind enough to lay a Candlelit Dinner table for us to allow us to eat a takeaway dinner (Covid meaning restaurants were closed) to celebrate our engagement. The cooked breakfast was also faultless. We would happily stay again if in the area!

Lovely place, 5min walk to this cool place

It’s up the hill so you get an amazing view on the walk/drive up. The room was cozy, clean, and very beach chic with light colors. Breakfast was the best I had on my whole trip (as well as the lunch I had at the local seafood shack which was amazing and I’m a snob about seafood). The inn keeper was lovely as well. I’ll be back!

Lovely guest house

We loved our stay here. The host was most welcoming, as was the room, which was immaculate and very comfortable. The breakfast was outstanding, with lovely fresh local produce. The location is great, an easy walk from the sea front and from the Tower. Highly recommended

Amazing guest house

We were made to feel very welcome on arrival. Room was immaculate and very clean. Breakfast was amazing. Plenty of choice. Would highly recommend a stay at this amazing place

Great location on the hill overlooking Oban. A very generous well cooked breakfast, lots of nice touches such as homemade granolas, yoghurt and jams on offer. We were in a small double, a very pretty room spotlessly clean. Possibly a little small for two people but do able Electric shower not my favourite but it did the job. Would go back and stay in one of the larger rooms next time

The host is very nice, and cooks very good breakfast. The room is a bit small, but is very clean. The location is on top of a hill. View is great, but there is a single profile traffic you have to be mindful about.
