Dear Guest, what else can you say besides: thank you very much :) It is actually the case that an owner-managed private hotel is managed differently than the managed brand hotels, where "only" one hotel director / CEO is used;) The room furnishings, the furniture, the color scheme and the general style are personally selected by the owner: Of course, we would like to achieve the same / similar level of equipment in every room - nevertheless we try to ensure that each room is characterized by its own little charm (on the contrary, too what is taught in classical marketing, we do not want to strive for a "uniform" character). As of Corona (so that the lockdown time was not entirely in vain), we began to renovate or modernize room by room in 2020. To be fair, it has to be said that not all rooms are up to date. But I think we will be completely through with the guest rooms in 2022 😊 Then the creation of a small group / conference room is on the agenda. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you again (also + especially on behalf of my wife) for your warm and detailed review and I would be very happy if you would visit our hotel on your next visit to Nuremberg. Unfortunately, we can not understand your price-performance assessment: I do not know for which date you have booked exactly - but for a city and trade fair hotel, it is absolutely normal for room prices to fluctuate and change daily (in contrast to, for example, holidays destinations with fixed high and low season). Our hotel is on average significantly cheaper than comparable competitors for the same travel period - a quick look at the usual price search engines will confirm this - especially at periods that are relatively expensive in Nuremberg (e.g. at trade fairs, Christmas market, concerts, etc.). In addition, our hotel does not advertise with a star rating or with a balcony, etc. Of course we also have rooms on the street side with a good view (pedestrian zone) - as far as this request is known and it is feasible in terms of occupancy - we can take such reservation requests into account. Our elevator or our receptionist is actually no longer available after 11:00 p.m .: This is a business decision that we introduced after a test phase. As far as I know, these opening times are communicated both via the booking portals and on the company's own homepage. Our small hotel is deliberately not a "star" certificate in order not to raise false expectations. If we were to be certified, our house would correspond to a "two-star" classification. Unfortunately, we cannot fully understand that with "Super Basic": Our rooms have standard equipment, free WiFi, most of the rooms have new 32 full HD flat screens installed (maybe you still had a room with the small models here?) and at the reception you can borrow a kettle or mini fridge for free and we offer, for example, also drinks (hot & cold) for sale. We will communicate this to the outside world more clearly in the future so that our guests also know that we offer such things :) I wish you a nice Christmas and a pleasant change of year.
