The Shipquay in Derry is one of the best hotels we have stayed in. The staff from Reception to Housekeeping absolutely excellent and professional. The Shipquay Hotel is an elegant boutique hotel with a great location within the city walls of Derry. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The onsite restaurant serves great food, and there is also a bar in the Lower Ground Floor. Due to its location, there is no onsite parking, but there is free street parking nearby overnight, and the nearby parking lots are really cheap for daytime parking while you do the sights.

Wonderful Shipquay

The hotel was wonderful. Is in a great area with historical sites and shopping. The staff was so friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was very tasty and quite a bit of food. The beds were comfortable and so were the pillows I could’ve stayed longer.

The Shipquay Boutique Hotel is amazing. Were to start? The staff of this hotel are incredible. Hands down the most friendly and knowledgeable staff I have ever met. They had restaurant suggestions, maps on where to go jogging in the morning, and shopping suggestions. The breakfast was delicious - the best scone I had on my trip to Ireland and Northern Ireland. The room and bathroom were lovely - had a great night sleep.

The only negative is the location. It is half way up a very steep hill and parking is a 15 minute walk away. No immediate parking and not accessible for those struggling with hills. Only a few rooms have AC. The food and staff are amazing.
