The starlight motor inn is a gem. We felt so at home from the moment we walked in, from the friendly team, to the comfortable spaces. No detail was spared renovating the space, it is truly beautiful. We agreed the first night even before we experienced how comfy the beds were that this was our spot when we travel to Charleston. The burgundy lounge is such an added bonus to have around the corner from your room. Jessie the bar manager was fantastic, the drinks were phenomenal and the live entertainment was great. It also felt so quick and convenient to get anywhere we wanted in town with a quick drive or uber, and we appreciated being away from the downtown tourist feel. We will absolutely be back!

I loved the vintage feel of this hotel! Bed was super comfortable. No comment on the staff as we never interacted with them other than through texts. Rooms have a door code that was sent via text. While I had many text that provided the information that was necessary. I still like the old fashioned check in where I get to talk to a person. We wanted to check out the lounge but never found it. Just moved on to visit places in Park Circle instead. I would recommend this place for the cool vibe and I would stay here again.

Great room. Clean, looked cool, I really liked the shower. The facilities are nice. The lobby had a microwave and booths to sit and eat at. It was great for what I needed for one night. I will definitely stay here again.

What a great place!

This little hotel is a well-kept secret. Only 5 mi out of the historic district of Charleston, it was the best hotel I've stayed in so far on my trip from Florida to New York. The beds were comfortable, it had great pillows, the shower was roomy with great water pressure and nice shampoo conditioner and body wash. Everything was impeccably clean and keyless check in was super easy. This little place is a gem and is someplace you should definitely consider staying..

Wow! I absolutely LOVED this Inn! It was absolutely amazing. The decor was done so very tastefully to reflect a bygone era. Everything was immaculate and so clean. This is one of my favorite places I have stayed and would definitely stay again if I am ever in the area!

Updated midmod look with a 60's--70's vibe. More Mod Squad than Brady Bunch. Era appropriate music playing outside, but not too loud. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Clean bathroom. Mini fridge in the room. No elevator, but we were able to get our room switched to 1st floor and parked right outside the room.

I have to be honest for the price I was a little concerned what the room would be like, but I was impressed. The rooms are very well maintained, bathrooms clean and the bed was very comfortable. I would definitely return if I'm ever back in this area.

Cute & clean. As it is a re-vamped motel, the rooms are small, but is to be expected. The updates are nice, lobby gathering room area very cool, pool house & drinks were thumbs up, and pool party was fun! Planning to stay again in a couple of months.

We loved the decor and amenities. The beds were comfortable, the shower was hot and strong, and the room was nice and clean. Check in was a breeze and the location was convenient. We would have loved to stay longer to check out the pool and lounge - next time!
