Stairs were required to access our room. "View" from our balcony was of the parking lot (Texas style, very bare and uninviting, but lots of birds in the trees around the swimming pool! Lots of grills, good parking. Very roomy space, nice bathroom, beautiful hottub! Couldn't open curtains due to proximity of neighboring residences. musty odor or cleaning solution? on entering property. Very friendly and polite management, who informed me (after we left) of underwear they found in a drawer. Which must have been left by a guest BEFORE me. cleaning service problem? We are truly embarrassed, as that is one of the first steps our cleaning crew does, is look in all the drawers to be sure nothing had been left behind. We will strive in the future to make sure all staff members make that a priority, so it doesn't happen again.

Awesome Experience!
Stayed in the "Pecos" cottage. Cottage was Very Clean and had plenty of room for Three people. We had a wonderful experience and WILL be back again!

Had a girls weekend and this place was perfect. It was quiet, clean and close to shopping and dinning out. We had a great time and will definitely come back again next summer.

Quick trip
Self check in was easy with the information provided prior to my arrival. The room was clean and comfortable and was just what I needed when I was ready to escape the hot June sun while visiting Gruene.

Cozy and Comfortable
I was pleasantly surprised at just how easy this stay was and how comfortable the bed was. We came to meet friends at the River. Wish we could have stayed longer and enjoyed the pool.

Unique property, not the same old hotel. Well maintained and within walking distance of old town Greene. Most people will still drive. Also very close to tubing launch across the river. Would definitely stay here again.

Great place to stay while visiting Gruene. It wasn’t walking distance but close enough to quickly drive and park in the public parking. Very clean and comfortable cottage with a good relaxing feel to the property.

We have stayed at a lot of hotels,B&B’s, cottages houses. I would rate Gruene Cottages at the top of our list. It was so relaxing and comfortable and provided snacks, water, coffee, extra pillows etc…. We stayed in the cottage called “The Rosemary “ . We will definitely come back.

What makes this lovely place different is that it is a compound of, well, cottages. Two rooms per cottage. Super cute property. Really excellent communication and checkin process. Really tiny quibble is that if your housemates are watching TV, you will be listening to their program.

Romantic Getaway
The cottages were perfect for our weekend stay in Gruene. They are located within a short distance to Greene Hall and plenty of shopping. All in all it was fantastic for a romantic weekend getaway.

Absolutely enjoyed our time there. The staff was very attentive- communicating just often enough to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Location is great- everything we needed was in our surrounding area (grocery stores, gas station, restaurants, shops, etc.) Definitely bringing the family next time.
