We chose this hotel because there were none available closer to central Munich during Oktoberfest. It turned out to be a great location, as it was quiet, close to public transport, and walkable to restaurants and grocery stores. The room was good, the bed comfortable, and the breakfast was very nice. We stayed two nights and would again if we’re back in Munich.

Room was nice and clean, spacious and updated. We stayed in a suite so I can’t speak for other rooms. Location was a bit further from the train than we had thought, however still easy enough to navigate. Staff could do with extra training as they were slow to handle and check in.

A good business hotel for the area
Clean and comfortable, a bit 'plastic' but most German hotels like this lack personality. For one night it was fine. room a bit too warm and l hate the single mattress on double beds, but expect it. As usual the lack of an English language TV station like CNN or BBC World is annoying

double for three people?
Confusing. Hotels.com booking was for three people, upon check-in we were given a double bed and a puzzled look as to why three adults can't in fact sleep in a double bed. Intresting. I asked to have three separate beds and was told we will need to pay £30 more...per day. Well...not too happy. The room was good, comfy bed and a good location to transport links and restaurants/shops.

Friendly staff. The hotel looked and felt more like a 3 stars+ than 4 stars. The superior room has a very small shower space, and the curtains were of very average quality. I was disappointed with the breakfast: nothing was homemade, the quality of the eggs, bread, or pastries was very low. We appreciated the bar being open until late and with a great barman! I wouldn't go there for leisure, business is fine - the hotel is far from the center of the town and is a bit impersonal in its decoration.

Rilano 3 days for business
Very friendly hotel. Unfortunately, when I got to my room after check-in I found that the phone wasn’t working and there was no desk chair. On going back to reception they gave me a new room straightaway. That was really the only negative. I’d recommend the Rilano for business in the area. It’s mainly offices around it. However, there’s Alte Heidt U-bahn station about 10mins walk away, and the 23 tram about 5 mins walk away, both which will take you to the centre of Munich in about 10-15 mins. Taxis are plentiful. Good value for money.

We have stayed at this hotel many times, normally everything is top notch. Due to the global situation the restaurant and bar area are not too the high standard pre cover. All in all tho it still good valuator the money.

Covid 19 has really changed the service levels and attentiveness at this hotel. We have stayed many times and have always been happy. This time not so much the hotel is showing signs of lack of care and it is a shame. Still worth staying a night.

Check in staff was condescending and unprofessional. Immediately made me regret my decision to book this hotel. The room was forgettable and bland. At one point, after returning from dinner, a locked fire door blocked access to my room. When I told front desk staff, they didn't believe me until we showed him a picture of the door blocking the entire hallway. The one cool thing here is a robot on wheels that will deliver snacks to your room. It says a lot that the most professional staff member is a robot. Avoid at all costs, waste of money.
