What isn’t to like about Canopy. The staff is far beyond amazing in friendliness and being really helpful. They constantly greet you just for walking by, and it wasn’t fakey. I complimented Maya before we left as to how impressed I was with all of them. These people need raises by the way. No hotel has ever had staff as great as ALL of them were. Next, the property…. Holy god this is such a beautiful hotel. A mix of classic architecture and modern conveniences done tastefully. The room was very quiet, comfortable and relaxing. The beds really proved we needed a new one at home lol. Finally, it’s Minneapolis’ Mill District. I love this part of the city I used to call home. My stay here made me miss it even more. We will be staying here again!

The hotel is very clearly recently updated, with clean, comfortable rooms, and a beautiful lobby. However, whomever designed the lobby / atrium / interior rooms either forgot that sound travels, or didn't care. If you have an interior (atrium view) room, you will hear EVERYTHING coming from the bar until it closes. The GM responding to these reviews likes to pretend that is only the case when they have events (which is every Friday and Saturday night, btw). The Friday event went until 11:30. The Saturday event went until 10, except then the bar started playing music at the exact same volume. Expect not to be able to sleep until at least midnight. Hotel could at least acknowledge the noise and provide earplugs, but they pretend it isn't happening. Lobby and housekeeping staff were very kind and had a great experience with them. Just not a great experience trying to do....the one thing hotels exist for -- sleep.

I liked the fact only roomcard holders can access floors via elevators. The night time atmosphere was chic and smooth. Lots of people to mingle with. Starbucks and Trader Joe's is just around the corner and so is the light rail for easy access to Mall of America and the airport.

The windows from our room overlooked the lobby, which meant we heard all sounds from the lobby, including the nightly music that went until 10:30. Rooms were not insulated well as we also heard our neighbors. Otherwise the stay was excellent!

This was the perfect location for our trip. Close to the concert venue, restaurants, and other fun activities. The hotel was beautiful, and the staff st the front desk went above and beyond to help us.
