Unfriendly staff. Floors did not look like they had been mopped in months. I liked it that they were pet friendly. Did not use the hot tub, unsure about how sanitary it was. Location was close to sights. We used the coupons for meals that was offered to us. We would not stay here again.

The rooms could use better floor cleanings. All the rooms in our party were dirty/sandy. The blow dryer was from the 1950's and barely got warm. Other than that it was as expected for a cheaper motel. Its not on the main drag but so close you won't miss anything. Everything we wanted was less than 4 minutes away.

I booked room through Expedia, paid $122. Then was charged another $101 by thunderbird. I am trying to get one of the charges refunded. Room was out dated by the 70's, and had a deep mold smell.

For a motel this was better than what I thought, didnt know it was a motel. Still it had nice beds and pillows. Could be a little cleaner the tub had weird stains. The sheets felt that a little weird and some mosquitos that were there.

The bathroom is not functioning; the water coming out of the faucet is yellow and contains rust. The management took advantage the situation that we booked the hotel at a busy season and denied our request for refund. The attached picture shows the water coming out of the faucet in the bathtub.

Windows do NOT lock. Be aware of this! When I asked staff about it she said they all don’t lock and we don’t usually have an issue with it. I was not happy at all. Property needs maintenance. Our room had trim boards coming undone on the ceiling, sink didn’t drain well. Trim on floors dirty, wallpaper was loose and really old looking. Had a hair dryer that was probably from the 70’s with a very low setting only. No microwave in room. Little (past years breakfast room) has an old small very dirty microwave and dirty toaster. It has been there a while like that a couple tales were not washed and had evidence of a pizza someone had. There was nothing to clean up with so I’ll let that on thing go. The other part just needed a cleaning lady once a day at the very least. I definitely won’t stay again that’s for sure!

Air conditioner stopped blowing cold during the night, and was very loud. Water in tub ran brown the first 3 minutes, then finally ran clear. Room was clean, staff did a good job, room just hasn’t been updated in a very long time.

Stayed for two nights. Went on a trip to Mackinac Island one day and the did some things in the Mackinac town the next day. Really just slept in the room took a shower in the morning and that was it for the room. Our room fridge did not work and the electrical outlets were worn out. The switch near the door did not seem to control anything. The air conditioning worked well. The room and the bathroom were both clean and neat. They had a snacks vending machine, but not one for sodas. Had to go to a gas station for drinks, but not a big deal. There was some noise from guests hanging out late at night. For a economy hotel I think it was a ok stay.

The beds were comfortable. There was no battery in the smoke detector and the tv didn’t work. We called the staff for both issues and they did come right away. The water only got to like warm so we couldn’t shower.

The staff didn't seem very friendly, and I found spider webs in both the room and the bathroom. I also wasn't given the room I originally booked, and the hotel didn't think it was necessary to inform me that they had changed my reservation. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. It was very springy and uneven, making it feel like you were sleeping at an angle. The room had a strong unpleasant odor. Thankfully, we only had to stay there for one night. If you're looking for a budget-friendly place, I'd recommend choosing one of the other inexpensive properties nearby instead. Even the cheapest alternative would likely provide better value for your money than this motel. I'm honestly surprised this property has a rating above 8 on Expedia, as my experience was nowhere near that standard. Don't just compromise your sleep and trip to Mackinack Island and the city for this motel, you might not get comfortable sleep.
