About this property

Entire place

You'll have the entire cabin to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.

Zeron`s Private Island Summer Paradise On Sage Lake with optional boat rental

This is a 7 1/2 acre island, Privately owned, only you and your guests will be on it. This island has over 2000 feet of sandy shoreline, there are two docks for boat docking and great fishing surrounds the island. We have 3 different pontoon boats available to rent as an option if you do not have your own boat to bring for transportation to and from the island.

The only regular visitors to the island are you & your group and the occasional Bald Eagle, Loon, or other Michigan wildlife.

In addition to all that, there is a beautiful two story home/cabin. It has two bedrooms and one bathroom on the main floor and a large loft on the second floor that over looks the lower level and has great Lake views.

The master bedroom has a King size bed and the next bedroom has a Queen size bed in it. The upstairs loft has two Queen size beds in it and a queen futon sofa bed. The living room also has a fold out sofa bed. This cabin is fully furnished and supplied with all linens, towels, and all the kitchen cupboards are filled with everything you’d need for cooking and dining.

The large beautifully landscaped yard also doubles as a camping area for extra guests and there’s even an extra full bathroom bath house for outdoor guests to use.

The two tier custom built outside brick patio sports a gas BBQ grill with granite counter tops for cooking space as well as a new tiki bar for the perfect outdoor gathering area on the upper tier and built in brick fire pit area right next to the water for a perfect area to sit under the stars around a fire with friends and family. Our newly added sandy beach area now sits just off the side of the lower tier fire pit area and is a great new addition for kids to swim and play in the water right off to the side in front of the cabin.

This Island paradise has the most serene patio settings for enjoying a morning cup of coffee and some afternoon sunbathing. The sandy bottom beach area surrounding the island is great for swimming.

The Island has so much to offer. It is a wonderful retreat for anyone wanting to enjoy the calm of nature on your own or with friends and family! It includes a wonderful hiking trail approximately one mile long around the inland wooded area.

It makes a great family reunion destination or even a beautiful Island Wedding location!

You can rent your own pontoon with the island. For transportation to and from the island, boating, fishing, or just to see the sites of the lake. It is optional to rent one of our pontoon boats except for for holidays, special events, and weekend dates during June July & August then it is included/required. We have a 2014 Misty Harbor 22ft pontoon that rents for $250 a night, or you can rent an almost brand new 2020 Misty Harbor pontoon boat for $300 a day. Inquire for weekly and or special rates as well.

Rates are subject to change at anytime. There is a 10 person limit for the cost per night. Any amount over 10 people would be subject to a $50 per night per person with a limit to 100 people with owner approval before hand. Larger group rates and/or weddings are available upon request request ONLY. If an instant booking is done without prior approval it will have to be cancelled and possibly loose the fees charged by VRBO. We have 3 different pontoon boat rentals available to rent however we also rent them thru our other property (ISLAND COVE Property # 729729 on VRBO) so not all 3 are always available. When an instant booking is done without any communication with management first VRBO is only capable of charging for one pontoon (water craft fee) which is for our cheapest/oldest pontoon which is $200 a night (weekly rates available upon request). Sometimes the VRBO site doesn’t calculate the pontoon rental rate properly based on how many nights you book for and only charges for one night ($200) pontoon rental, seems to happen a lot more with instant bookings and VRBO cannot figure out why, so they said to state it here so there are no future surprise charges after an instant booking. When that happens there will be an added charge based on which pontoon you’d like to rent/is available for however many days of your stay. A refund/partial payment cancellation can also be made if you’re bringing your own boat and wish not to rent one. However there must be a boat available for renters use (either one of our rentals or a renters personal boat) in the case of an emergency.

Beautiful!!
Zeron Island is absolutely beautiful! The home is exactly as pictured. We kept remarking at how clean everything was. Even the outdoor bathroom. Not a cobweb to be found. Our pups loved the trail through the woods, and it was so nice to open the door and let them run. We all had a wonderful time. We will definitely be back!! PS..the photos I have of the Island, sunset and sunrise are gorgeous.

Amazing Island Stay!
Our group of friends had a fantastic time staying on Zeron's island! The island was so beautiful and had so many activities - bags, jenga, lawn bowling, stand up paddle boards, and so much more. Joe was super responsive and provided very helpful turn by turn directions to help us find the place. We loved sitting by the fire pits and appreciated the ample supply of pre-chopped wood! Sleeping arrangements for 13 got a little tight - but with extra air mattresses available we made it work. The grounds around the main cabin would be great for camping too if we had brought tents! Couldn't have asked for a better trip - we're already looking to book our return :)

Peacefully Relaxing
It was a wonderful stay and the only thing I would change is adding railing to the steps for 60 + folk and another small step upon entering the French doors other than that it was a little peace of heaven and none of us wanted to leave and go back to reality . It was perfect and Joseph was quick to answer any questions ty Robin

Top-Notch Everything
The lake, the island, the property, the buildings, the boat, the amenities, the property manager - everything was perfect. We had a group of 11 guys who all immensely enjoyed ourselves. This place is perfect if you want a relaxing lake vacation or if you want somewhere to facilitate all your favorite outdoor activities. It allowed us to create our own perfect mix of both. Communication was great, any extra questions (which were few, since the documents and directions provided were excellent) got answered promptly and politely, and our stay was made that much more relaxing. We had multiple guys who returned to the island, and many of us will do so again. Completely worth it.

Unique Adventurous Experience
Unique experience..adventure awaits. Great communications, comfortable beds/linens, which is always appreciated! Quiet nights and tons of quality firewood! Our 12 girls had a great time for our 24th Annual Girls Weekend on Zerons Island. Only downside, the island is definitely the local hangout for boaters on weekends, there were 20-30 boats that tied up on Saturday (a few on Friday too). Unfortunately, they were not very friendly and pulled in right where our group was hanging out. We still had a great time, but should be noted to expect visitors if renting in the summer on the weekends!

Hidden Gem - Bach Party
Upon arrival Joe (property manager) sent us multiple articles illustrating sage lake and this island, everything I read was an understatement of this unique piece of property. The views from the island are unforgettable - watching the sunset and especially the stars when sitting around the camp fire. Let alone the resources on the island; kayaks/paddle boards/yard games. Highly recommend this place to anyone.

Landscaped Paradise
Outdoor furniture by Berlin Gardens is the best I've ever seen, and goes along with the extensive landscaping. There is something for all ages. The youngest had plenty of room to wear out before nightfall, running up and down the waterfront before settling down to smores at the fire pit. Middleaged had a house full of games and extensive paths to explore. Grandma and myself settled into the comfy furniture until the twilight pontoon cruise. Highly recommend the new pontoon - well worth the price difference. Fishing was not as good as we hoped, but the scenery made up for that. The only negative I can think of is the locals liked to hang out a a few sandy areas around the island, but never were a problem. This was one of the nicest cabins we have ever rented! Thanks for sharing!!!

Perfect Bachelor Party Getaway
We had a group of 13 guys celebrating for a bachelor party and let me tell you, we couldn’t have picked a better spot. Zeron’s island was a beautiful and isolated oasis perfect for a bunch of rowdy late-20s guys. Joe was an amazing host - communicating very effectively and regularly. I would highly recommend this unique destination for any kind of bachelor party, family reunion, or just a getaway with friends for a summer holiday. Just keep in mind that there are only 4 real beds and 2 pullout sofas so if you have a group of only guys that don’t want to share beds, you’ll need to bring lots of air mattresses and will likely be bunking up in the auxiliary building as well. Overall though I just can’t wait to come back again, it was a top notch home and experience!

Amazing Island
We came here for a bachelor party and it was an amazing experience! Being on the island we had all sorts of things to do without the worrying of having to be quiet. The pontoon was immaculate. There were so many games including volleyball net, corn hole, ladder ball, kayaks, paddle boards, you name it. There were two docks to park the rest of our boats and jet skis. The patio and grill area was perfect for large groups and grilling and having fires. Joe, the owner, was responsive, professional, and always kind in our interactions. With corona virus, our plans were up in the air and he constantly stayed in touch throughout the situation. I’d recommend joe and zerons island to anyone!

Graduation celebration vacation
This was such a perfect place for our group! My son who just graduated from high school had several of his friends join us on this island for some outdoor fun. The lake is beautiful, the cabin is well-kept and clean, and the grounds are very nice too. We all had such a nice time. I would highly recommend Zeron's island to anyone. There is so much to do....we had 3 stand up paddleboards, 5 kayaks, a paddleboat, a canoe. The boys loved fishing, swimming, boating, playing cards...there is a shed filled with indoor and outdoor games, and I think we used all of them during our stay. Such a wonderful vacation/celebration.
