I enjoyed my stay at the Villa Maly, the staff was extremely courteous and professional. Accommodation was great, loved the old colonial plantation feel and ambiance. Nice breakfast spread as well. Great location and walkable to the night market, early dawn alms giving event, many dining and bar options along the main drag. I’d stay again if I’m visiting LP.

The property was in a very good part of town. The staff was beyond helpful. The only thing I would suggest is that they need have the A/C until cleaned.

Loved it!
It was the favorite hotel from our trip to Laos. The hotel grounds were beautiful, with lots of plants and a swimming pool. The staff was very helpful and spoke good English. The breakfast was great too.

Try it, you'll like it!
A delightful hotel with personal attention to detail and customer service. Great quiet location with an easy walk to town, very friendly and helpful staff, and a wonderful little restaurant. Very nice breakfast buffet and a good menu with Laotian and western food. I will definitely stay here again - I like smaller boutique hotels and this one definitely met all my needs. I highly recommend it!

I want to emphasize the outstanding service by the staff. They assisted with sightseeing arrangements and restaurant recommendations and reservations. This is a lovely hotel that is within walking distance of nearly all important sites in Luang Prabang.

Wonderful hotel. Feels like a private villa. Great staff. Awesome breakfast. Easy walk to the city center (or tuk tuk). Great staff. Our group booked 4 rooms and all were awesome. Small bodegas for drinks and snacks + laundry service on the same little street. Only issue: Air conditioning was noisy, but it worked great. You will be satisfied.

Very Friendly Typical Lao warmth always from the staff. Quiet and beautiful setting. Restaurant very good. Very clean and comfortable room. A little out of the town centre but tuk tuks always at the hotel gate and in the cool of the evening it is a pleasant walk into the town. Definitely to be recommended but not for those on limited budget. Luang Prabang is expensive

We had a very pleasant stay at Villa Maly; the staff were outstanding, very friendly and very helpful, and eager to assist in all aspects. Our room was comfortable - bed was quite nice - and although we had some trouble with the ceiling fan, this issue was corrected after the first night. The hotel grounds are quite lovely and well-kept; just "enough jungle" feel without being overrun with vegetation. Our food experience at the hotel was limited to a light dinner upon arrival and breakfasts, all of which were adequate. I did enjoy their selection of fresh juices at breakfast. The location is good; it is off the main street in Luang Prabang, so nice and quiet with little street traffic noise. Easy to walk to main tourist areas, markets, etc., although the hotel offers free bicycles if you prefer (and umbrellas). Free van to pick-up and return to LPQ airport was a nice perk, too.

Think stepping back in time to a Humphrey Bogart movie. Villa Maly was the residence of a princess be fore becoming a hotel. Quiet but near everything. Love Luang Prabang and love this hotel. But don’t tell anyone so it stays as relaxing as it is.

The villa was tastefully decorated. Although we have issue with the air condition, the hotel staff was quick to remediate and ensure we are comfortable . The location is very comvenient. You can walk to the night market very easily. Swimming pool is lovely. Will stay again.

Solid 4 star hotel
Lovely welcome drinks and snacks. Good service, friendly and informative. Good location - 15 minutes drive from the airport, 15 minutes walk to Indigo Cafe. Beautiful setting and great to have the pool for a refeshing swim after a hot day exploring. The pool is super cold but was greatly appreciated! The decking is quite slippery to take care walking around. Several guests slipped after using the pool. The room was confortable and clean. Bathroom was a little dated but clean and functioning. Very quiet rooms - we were on the ground floor and didn't hear any other guests. Breakfast was very good. A little inconsistent - we were offered eggs on the first day and then not for the rest of our stay. But overall good selection of fruit, bread, pastries, cereal and a few hot items. Overall, a solid 4 star hotel, and a very enjoyable stay.

Amazing Stay!
This is my first time staying in Villa Maly though I have been to Luang Prabang twice. I have to say I am very impressed with this old royal residence not only the quality of the hotel, the beautiful decorations but also the very professional and friendly services from their staffs. Also the location is great, it locates on a quiet side of the street but very safe and it's not that far from all the attractions. The free bikes they offer is a nice touch for their hospitality. I will definitely stay here again if I come back to Luang Prabang!
