The hotel gets the job done if you want to be in Cabo. The room is clean, and the hotel pool and jacuzzi ae nice. Front desk service is poor, with the exception of a lovely young man. Staff do not acknowledge you when you're in front of them. They sometimes continue conversations for up to a minute. Checkin is disorganized. This is not a property where you're likely to be able to check in early. It may be well past the checkin time before you can get a room. Very slow, paper-based checkin system, not the employees fault, but corporate should get it together. What irked me the most is that I was happy to wait for my room to be prepared by the pool and said as much to the front desk staff. When I went up, I discovered I had to get a towel from the front desk (odd, but more odd the front desk staff didn't bother to offer me a towel when I said I'd be going to the pool area to change and use the pool), so I went back down. When I went down, I was told I needed an ID to get a towel, despite the same woman having just taken my passport ID several minutes earlier. She needed to hold onto my physical ID in order for me to get a towel. So a simple task, getting a pool towel, which in a normal circumstance would happen at the pool, took five rides up and down in an elevator and a state issued ID. If you want your guests to feel like they're at a decent hotel, making them come to the front desk and give their ID for collateral is not the way to do it.
