Two different buildings accommodate the visitors: a one-storey demure block, and a two-storey mansion. However, the biggest concern i had witnessed was in the restaurant: i love the huge space to accommodate the guests; i love the convenient walk to the nearby lavatory; but what I cannot stomach is the mouse infestation i managed to video. The maximum stay is 14 days, after which rebooking is prohibited for three months. I'd love to give it another shot, but that's a long shot.

The negatives: firstly, you cannot bring your own food here as it'll be disposed of if discovered. Second, you can only stay here for no more than 14 days, and no more bookings are permitted within three months; so plan accordingly. The positives: safe, warm, condusive. Beds have charging points for laptops and mobiles. Bathrooms available within reach are clean and inviting. Staff are very professional, though are strict about extreneous foodstuff.

Smelly rooms, very compressed and uncomfortable beds. The person who checked me in was rude and made me feel unwelcome . Rooms were not so clean . Just one toilet on floor between 60 beds?

Racist staff, beautiful grounds!
This property is in a beautiful area & the grounds are quite nice for the price, but the service here was disappointing and the staff is prejudiced. Check-in time is at 3PM, I called ahead and asked if I would be able to store my bag, a large suitcase. I arrived at 11, was told I would need to use a locker for £2, however they were too small for my suitcase, so I just stayed in the cafe, and settled in to do some work. Not long after this a couple of other travelers arrived, and I heard them ask to store their luggage as well, to a different staff member. The staff member walked them over to a room and they placed their (also large) suitcases there. So I went up to reception and asked again, and the staff member said sure, and stored my luggage for free. Weird, but okay, maybe the first person was misinformed. 2:15 PM, I went up to the desk to try check-in again. The staff member reminded me it was 3PM, so I apologized and sat. 10 minutes later a couple came and appeared to be given a room key. I got back up in line, and I asked, just as I had 2:15, if I could check in. “Sure”. Then, they tried to tell me I did not have a reservation. Called hotels.com and suddenly they found the reservation, but claimed it was not paid for. I was sure it was, but the man shrugged. Had to call again. Once this was resolved the man was irritated to have me sign and short with me after handing my key over. Was perfectly lovely greeting the girls behind me. Bottom line, staff is racist.

Book ahead for best room selection
Seperatemale and female washrooms which was good. No option seen for womens only dorm. Dorm was fine - lockers available for each bed. Larger luggage storage was secure from public, but no tags to separate your own bag from the rest - anyone could have stolen it when getting their own bag. Rude guests came in at 2am - security didn’t seem to do much about them. When leaving the park - gates were locked closed, and we had to jump the gate to get out (around 7am)

We do have female dorms on our property which are both 9-bed dorms, as for the bags we put tags with names on it but may have been a forgetful gesture from our staff. We would like to apologize and are working hard to avoid this happening again, As for the park there is only one entry which you would have been told on the check-in and it says so on the t&c that we have you sign before issuing your key.

I waited until 15.00 for check-in but decided to leave this hostel all together. 1. One of the current guests complained to the staff about the showers being broken in his building. listening to the guest, this had been the 3rd day in a row; 2. One of the employees unexpectedly left / resigned from his post in front of the guests; 3. There was a lot of construction going on and it seemed too busy. 4. While I did not feel unsafe, it was not giving off a great vibe. It seemed that many guests were inconvenienced by one thing or another, while the employees just did not seem well-managed or well looked after. After seeing one thing and another, I went ahead and booked a different place and never checked-in in person. I would like to have a refund, considering.

Poor customer service and the water stopped wirkin
I would like to complain about my stay at safestay holland park park last night. I arrived at the hostel at approx. 2200 to find there had been some confusion of beds. I stayed the previous night too, and had been allocated bed 5 in room 14 (attached ). Not the end of the world, and easily resolvable. However, the attitude of the front of house person made this whole exchange more difficult than it needed have been, and he was quite rude to several customers, myself included. Working with people is hard work- I know this from my job, too- but the problem the residents were facing was not of our making and it would have been nicer to have been dealt with a little more politely. The night got worse when it became apparent that some showers in other rooms had stopped working. What followed was a steady stream of people who had been given keycards to the room I was in coming in to have a shower. This went on into the small hours. At no point did the front of house person tell us, the residents of room, directly that this was going to happen. I only found this out from the showerers themselves. I work in travel and hospitality- the reason I stayed was because my company’s office is close by, Audley Travel- and so deal with these situations fairly regularly. It wasn’t great- particularly when one factors in the night’s stay cost me £35. I really thought I had found a good location for a bit of flexi working but have to say I’m am left pretty disappointed.

Nice location. However, it was hard to find as google maps took me somewhere else. The reception /lounge/dining area had music on until very late (until 1am), it was so loud, we you could hear it in a first floor guest rooms.

The location is amazing, specially because its in park. Super nice. Bathroom and facilitie are really good as well. However, the negative point is the hostel not allowed alcohol in the premises. If you want to drink should be out the hostel! Which is could be negative for those who like to drink while they are chatting.. And one more thing. It's not bad but good to mention. There was a lady behind the desk. She was a manger in there. Just an advice to her to be more nice when it come to customers. She need to treat the customers different then her workers! Also, she need to read a bit more how to be a leader... That will help. However, it was nice stay...
