"My adult kids and myself had an amazing week at Casa Blanca. The view is probably the best I've ever seen. We even saw whales from our balcony. We loved the pool and the short distance to the beach and into town. We cooked breakfast and a few dinners in the villa and enjoyed walking into town for dinner the rest of the evenings. Polly and David were both excellent hosts. I would highly recommend Casa Blanca."

"The house was as described. Although you can walk to the beach, it was a little far if you have beach gear to bring. It was a busy week in town and the rental was peaceful because it is several blocks from the center of town. The caretaker, Sharon, was very helpful and quick to respond, and gave us recommendations."

"This isn't a deluxe accommodation (there was no hot water in the bathroom or kitchen sinks, thin sheets and other minor imperfections) but the place was spacious, the shower had hot water, the price was the best we could find, and we have simple tastes so it met our needs nicely. We enjoyed the private courtyard, the kitchen with all the supplies we required to cook for ourselves, the air conditioning and the beach chairs. The location was fabulous as it was close to the beach and to the main street where most of the stores and restaurants are located so we were able to walk everywhere. The neighbors were quiet and friendly. Please note that it is not a 2 bedroom, but it does have 2 beds. The hammocks pictured are no longer hanging because of the full sofa that has been added in the living room and because a tree has been removed from the courtyard. There is not a place to sleep in the yard. There is no dryer (just a clothesline) and no ironing board, microwave or dishwasher, as stated in the listing, If you like quiet, private and cheap and aren't fussy, this is a good place to stay. We stayed for almost 3 weeks and have no regrets."

"This place is quite nice and easy to see why it could be considered Gorgeous! We stayed here for 3 weeks, March 24. Dean (the host) answered our first phone call immediately and was quite kind. For a week we were 6 people, but there was only 1 key. We asked for a second key. He said he would make sure that a second key would be delivered either that day or the next blaming the cleaners. Meanwhile he wanted us to hide the key outside somewhere to accommodate us. I told him it was a construction area, and we didn’t feel comfortable about that as there were many people out on the street there. They were digging up the road, so it was very busy and very dusty. The cleaners did do a good job and it was tidy, but that is the last we saw of them. Due to the construction, it got dirty very fast though. The second key never arrived or any of the other requests we had were ever met. We made several phone calls, but never heard from our host again. No answering machine or anything. There was not cleaning service, new bedding, clean towels or anything for the entire 3 weeks. Did I mention it was very dusty! No water and no communication. This might be a good place for a few people for a few days, but it does not live up to the write up. It says 12 people can stay here, but this is no where near true. The main eating has 6 chairs. The outside ‘patio’ area has a small table and four chairs that were dangerous to sit in. We repaired them at our own expense as we wanted to sit outside . . ."

"We were a group of 10 women yogis in our 50s and 60s. The two villas that we used were spectacular; the views, the pool, the sweet fresh flowers in the rooms everything was top-notch. We will definitely come back. Rene the groundskeeper was so helpful & kind. Marisol, our chef, was stocked our fridge, prepared our healthy meals with love and deliciousness❤️"

"We picked Wirikuta online, never having seen the hotel in person, although we had visited Lo de Marco on day trips during our many winters in Mexico. Wirikuta has a cool (a plus) and nice swimmable pool, although it needs a serious and regular cleaning. Lots of green growth on the bottom and edges. The front desk staff of Isobel and Jessica are fantastic. Cheerful, happy and responsive. They made our stay comfortable and fun. Our room was nice with modern fixtures and tasteful. But it was poorly equipped. No knives, no toaster, no blender, no hand towels or plate scrubbers, no drawers for storing anything. The rooftop at Wirikuta is fantastic. 360 degree views of the mountains and ocean. We played cards up there and had drinks from the bar, which they had just opened. Unfortunately, the waiter up there, Fernando, was not friendly and had trouble getting our orders correct, even though two of our group spoke Spanish reasonably well -- meaning it wasn't a language problem. They had some good musicians play in the new rooftop bar, which we enjoyed, and they only played until 9 pm, so it wasn't a problem for any of the hotel guests. The kitchen for the rooftop bar/restaurant is on the main floor and it's two flights of stairs to the top. I wished they had put the kitchen on the roof and used the main floor space for a coffee bar for hotel guests in the morning. The hotel provided beach chairs, bikes, body boards and surf boards for guests to use. Would stay again."
