Cozy waterfront Chalet nestled in Big Thicket just outside Ace, TX, 56 miles north of Houston Intercontinental Airport.
This quiet, charming Chalet on a private cove will beckon you back, again and again!
Enjoy the slow pace, peacefulness and sheer beauty of nature all around you on this quiet fishing lake!

Grab a beverage, a good book or fishing pole and come relax on the floating deck! Have breakfast, lunch or dinner there! Gentle movement on water is guaranteed to wipe your stress away! Sitting in the comfy Adirondack chairs underneath the deck's tin roof, enjoy sunlight dancing on water, or bask in the sun on the foredeck, letting all your cares drift away, or just take a little snooze if you wish!

Accommodations: 1 cozy loft bedroom with queen size bed, 1 downstairs downstairs with full size bed, air-conditioned, woodburning fireplace, electric fireplaces, Internet(high-speed DSL), ROKU TV, Blu-ray player, Cassette player, movie library, small reading library including children’s books, games, large yard, grill, Chiminea.

Area is great for bird and nature watching, biking, running, or just strolling in the country!

Pets:
Your house-trained dogs are welcome with a Pet Fee of $100 for a maximum of 2 canines.
Poop bags are furnished for picking up after your pet.
Leashes are required outside the fenced property.

ALL NEW APPLIANCES: Electric Stove with Air-Fryer/Convection Oven, Refrigerator, Dishwasher and
NEW and lovely, very comfortable, leather loveseat.
NEW Gel Cooled mattress in the downstairs bedroom.
ROKU TV.

NO SWIMMING ALLOWED: This is a stocked fishing lake. We do not permit swimming. One reason is due to the close proximity of the Trinity River. An occasional Alligator has been known to visit and make it their home.

NO BOATS CAN BE BROUGHT IN.
Outside boats are not permitted on our lake. In the past, they were allowed. However, we incurred over $100,000 in fees to clean out what outside boats brought in. We had to kill all plant life, wait a year and are still working on replacing proper plant life in the lake.

Unfortunately, our boat sank in the boat slip due to being vandalized. Sadly, it is no longer available.

SECURITY CAMERAS: This property is monitored by live video security cameras 24/7. They are there for the security of the property as well as for guest’s security. Guests are welcome to unplug the cameras while on the premises. They just need to be sure to plug them back in prior to departing. Thank you in advance for your compliance!

We enjoyed staying at this chalet. It was really cute. The fenced yard was huge which was great for our 2 dogs. The fishing was great, although the large tree overhanging the water made it difficult to cast in certain areas. (You could see lots of bobbers tangled in the branches. lol) There were some hiccups regarding entry into the neighborhood, but Patricia was very helpful in getting it sorted out. She is very nice and communicative and wanted to make sure we had a great stay. Overall, we had a really great time!

Big disappointment
I've stayed in dozens of VRBO properties for many years and this is the worst experience I have ever had. Two main issues. The property clearly says that there was a fenced yard with I took to mean it had a secure area for our dog. What we found was a fence on two sides and open water on the other two sides. I saw this in the pictures on the website but assumed that there was another area on the property that was properly fenced. This was a huge problem whether we had a dog or a child. The second problem was checking in. The check in information was never emailed to me and it did not appear on the website so we arrived at the property after an 8 hours drive and the gate to the property was locked. I tried numerous times to contact the owner but the call clicked off. I finally got her to call back by texting her and she was completely rude, condescending, and defensive. We ended up staying one night and left. Patricia never apologized or offered any compensation.

Best Birthday Trip!
We stayed at this wonderful property for my 55th birthday and had a fabulous time! The property was so charming and peaceful. All amenities were as described and we had everything we needed. The property owner was very nice and very responsive to correspondence before and after the trip. The days were spent fishing and hanging out. The nights were beautiful and serene. The State Park is nearby and a must-visit. I will definitely be making an annual visit to this property!

Very peaceful area. So many beautiful birds. Fishing was good and a plus was the late evening gators crossing the point. House is a work of eclectic art - you could spend a couple of hours just looking through all of it. All in all a good time.

Perfect quiet getaway
My fiancee and I took our two dogs to stay at this lake house for a few days. The property is beautiful and quiet, there was ample space for the dogs to run and we enjoyed lounging around on the floating deck and by the fire in the outdoor chiminea. I highly recommend this place if you're looking to just get away and recharge, and if you wake up early enough to watch the sun rise over the water, you won't be disappointed.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this cute little house, and it was an absolute gem of a getaway. The coziness of the space was perfect, and it immediately felt like a home away from home. We settled right in, and every corner of the house seemed to be thoughtfully designed for comfort and relaxation. What truly stood out, however, was the exceptional hospitality of our host. She was not only kind but also incredibly attentive throughout our stay. Before our trip, she had informed us about the lower lake levels due to the drought, even offering us the option to cancel our reservation. We decided to proceed with our plans because the house itself was so lovely, and we were pleasantly surprised to find that the lake, despite its lower water levels, remained just as beautiful and serene as we expected. I would wholeheartedly recommend this charming lakefront chalet to anyone in search of a simple, tranquil getaway. Our experience was nothing short of fantastic, and we give it a solid 10/10!

This cozy chalet provided the perfect space for my husband, dog and me to get away for the weekend. The fenced yard is quite large, and offers many sitting areas ... there is even a porch on a floating dock! The house itself was tidy and provided all we needed. The décor is not the most modern, but that is part of its charm - it feels like someone's much-loved home. We were very comfortable there, and we look forward to returning. Communication with the owner was exceptional.

Secluded Paradise
We just got back from our second visit at Patricia’s chalet and it could not have been better! It’s a cozy little place nestled in the woods. In the mornings we watched birds while having coffee on the cute little porch and then we just walked out to the front yard and threw out a fishing line. In the evenings we had drinks on the floating deck and enjoyed watching the wild life. Patricia herself is as sweet as can be and alerted us to a nest of baby birds behind a cushion so that they weren’t disturbed. If you’re looking to get away from the hustle and bustle, I highly recommend!

If you are needing to get away from the Rat Race this is a good place to stay. The neighbors are friendly also. My husband and I went there for some piece and quiet from the world which this place accomplished and if we wanted to be around people we would go into Conroe and spend time there. We greatly enjoyed the place. :-)

A cozy slice of heaven is a perfect description of this Chalet, that says it ALL!!! Looking for a place to really get away this is the PERFECT place!! My husband and I loved it, and needed a quiet place to relax and rejuvenate, this was/is definitely the place. We will definitely be going back real soon. The communication with Patricia was phenomenal, responses were quick and she was very helpful with anything we needed!! The only problem we had is we could not stay longer 😩😩 💔💔!! owner is scamming you for more money
First of all, I want to say that this is a charming place. Very cute. Yes the place is clean, but what do you define clean. If you are a multiple renter, walk into this place and find dishes in dishwasher, what is going to be your first reaction, or is that a "MINOR " detail. Also she has a lot of debris in the yard that could be very dangerous. I had call the owner and text her muptile times but no responses whatever. She tells me that I never did. I have proof on my phone but unfortunately I cannot add any attachments to show that I did. Ended up having to message her on the vrbo website. To me, I guess she blocks you. The main reason of this bad review is that she says that we accidently threw away the coffee filter. Now let me clarify, we never use the coffee maker. So she is charging me $100.00 more for damaging the place. I did everything that she asked me to do. She admitted on the message that she was in a hurry so she must have overlooked the dishwasher. How is she 100 percent sure that the coffee filter was there? My husband and I had stay at a lot of bed and breakfast place and we had never had any issues whatsoever. I want everyone to be very carefully about checking into this place. BE VERY AWARE!! She will scam you into something that you didn't do.

We had a great week relaxing. The cottage was exactly like the pictures. We loved sitting outside enjoying the lake and bird watching. One of the best things was watching the neighbor across the canal fishing and talking to her.
