We were able to hear the conversation of people in the room next door even though they were only talking and were woken by their alarm. Bed was firm. However hotel is situated in an excellent central location next to a metro station."

"We spent 3 lovely nights here. The overall experience has been wonderful. It reminded us of the 40's and 50's..a much more pleasant era! The staff are so pleasant and helpful and the breakfast is exemplary. Lots of fresh fruits cheeses and eggs with fab breads and pastries The location is just off the main avenue so its quiet. There is construction across the road but we didnt hear it. We will return."

"The boutique hotel is practically in the castle. The hotel made transport from the airport very easy, but be sure to arrange with them prior to arriving. You will be staying in the old town area, so expect narrow streets, and much walking. The 737 bus picks up right outside the Castle, and is a 5 minute walk from the hotel. "Memmo Alfama is truly a hidden gem. The terrace/restaurant had a million dollar view overlooking Alfama, paired with amazing food and drinks. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of and had what we needed. The location was perfect for our stay, so close to so many major landmarks and allowed us to walk to pretty much anywhere we needed to go.
