It is the Venetian! It's iconic and beautiful with central location on the strip. Our room was clean, the beds were comfortable.
However, I had a disappointing experience at the pool. My daughter and I wanted to have some drinks and fruit salad. We ordered a coke, french fries and a fruit salad using the mobile ordering option. We waited for 30 minutes with no one bringing our food. I checked with the server sho told me she would check on it. Another 35 minute went by. Mind you, when you do a mobile order, you have to stay at your seat, so you can't get in the pool. Yo have to wait by your lounger. So my daughter and I waited for over an hour. No food came. Only the coke. I didn't think french fried and fruit salad takes that long to make. By this time, we had to leave as we had a show to go to.
I approached the poolside restaurant to ask for a refund. The manager kept me waiting there for another 10 minutes only to tell me that the refund will be processed in 8 days or something like that.
The issue is not the money at all. My order was something like $30. I paid over $500 a night to stay at the Venetian. It's the treatment that upset me. Instead of sending fruit salad to my room free of charge or offering something to compensate for the careless treatment, they just brushed it off like nothing.
I will not stay here again. It's overrated. No matter how beautiful the hotel is, the guests have to be treated well. It's not acceptable.
