A diamond in the rough, literally. This is a few blocks off the strip, which is nice because you're not immediately in the madness, but know that a little walking is required. Because of a lot of nearby construction, it was a little difficult to navigate out to the strip at first, but we figured it out quickly. Even with the construction, we never heard it in our room. The staff was almost too communicative, reaching out every day. However, they were very quick to respond to fix things or bring up things we needed, which we appreciated. It was great to have a full kitchen with dishes, silverware, pots/pans, and cleaning supplies. Within a block are a Target and Walgreens for most food needs. Water pressure and hot water were great, and the bed was comfortable. The TV had almost 50 channels with most any channel we frequently watched. The rooftop pool is not too big but rightly sized for the crowd, and they provide free towels. Plenty of shaded and non-shaded areas to hang out. The only major downside of our stay was the 3 elevators on the east side, which were a mess the whole week. Only 1 of them worked most of the time, and even though we stayed on the east side, we typically used the west elevators, else we could wait 5 minutes. It would also be nice for them to have a decaf/non-caffeinated tea offering since they had full caffeine coffee and tea. If we ever go back to Vegas, we would stay here again because: 1) full kitchen, 3) quiet area, and 2) proximity to the strip.

Good location. Great rooms. A little dated but that means the rooms are bigger than the newer styled hotels. A little upgrade here and there and this hotel will be exceptional. Lots of development happening around the area so in the future it will be even better location.

Both irons in the room were broken. I asked for another, and it did not come until the next day; we had a fancy birthday dinner to go to, and we were wrinkled. Also, the elevators were broken, and getting one that was not full took forever. There was no disclaimer that it was only valet parking and 25 a night. The front desk left a message about a gift that we were supposed to get when we got there, and it was the front desk trying to get us to sign up for a timeshare. We asked for new towels, and they only brought two when there were three people staying there.
