We enjoy the atmosphere of this historic old Inn. The location and views are amazing. The staff is extremely welcoming. The rooms are very clean. The entire Inn has been well preserved with a great little speak easy bar and restaurant. A must stay in Mount Dora!

Beautiful property! Rooms were small and clean and super cute. Beds were not that comfortable. Love how close it was to town and could walk. Staff was very friendly. Beautiful view. It rained the whole time we were there but was still cozy and relaxing. Would stay here again!

Very friendly staff. Old-Florida charm in historical hotel/downtown setting. Average kitchen with nice tavern and piano music. Breakfast okay. Rooms are okay and have AC but no fridge unless requested. Would book again!

This hotel is in a perfect location on the lake and downtown Mount Dora is on its doorstep. It is perfect for walking everywhere and the staff are lovely. The rooms themselves are a bit dated, you can see they are trying to maintain charm and character but some things could do with updating. One thing we forgot to ask is why you cannot open the windows in the rooms! Would definitely stay again.

I enjoyed staying at this authentic Floridian hotel, steeped in history and old-world charm. However, given the price point, I expected a little more luxury and refinement. The property feels somewhat tired in places. I appreciate the challenge of balancing historic character with modern comforts, but unfortunately, this hotel hasn’t quite found that sweet spot. A charming experience, but one that could be so much more.

This was our second stay at the Lakside Inn. If you go there you will have an enjoyable stay if you are aware that it is an historic hotel. First of all, the structure has been very nicely preserved. The buildings are well maintained and the grounds are beautiful. The rooms are immaculate and the housekeeping staff do an excellent job. However, in keeping with the age of the structures, the rooms are small and plumbing is marginal

Have beautiful property! Prime location, beautiful view of the lake. Since the property is from the 1800s and meant to be kept in this old-fashioned beautiful way, I found that the amenities were not able to fit our needs i.e. the shower is too small. There’s no where to get ready in the bathroom. There’s no area to put your makeup and toiletries but then again I understand this is the charm of the Lakeside so was a beautiful stay.

This is a historic property and that is part of the charm, if you want modern , it's not for you. Staff where very helpful and friendly, everything was clean. Amenities where plentiful. The pool is big enough for length swimming. Had a great view over the lake. Ask about the scavenger hunts they have. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are looking at it, will definitely stay there again if we go back to Mount Dora.

Hotel is beautiful and has so much charm and history. Perfect location to downtown. Friendly staff. Hotel is older and the architecture and atmosphere is old Florida. Staff are wonderful and super nice. We had an issue with our hotel door knob and couldn’t get out of the room once we entered. But they came and fixed it immediately. We did not eat at the hotel but had drinks at the bar one night and it was lovely.

My husband and I spent 3 days 2 nights at the Lakeside Inn. Our staff was absolutely wonderful. The Inn was quaint and charming, with beautiful views of the lake that made the whole experience feel peaceful and relaxing. It was the perfect place to slow down, unwind and enjoy the time away. We truly had a wonderful and relaxing stay and would definitely recommend the Lakeside Inn.

Staff and food were excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed talking with the staff. I didn’t do the breakfast but I did the pot pie. You have to order the famous pot pie! Only wish there were refrigerators in the rooms. Also, no coffee maker in the rooms.
