This was our second time here, the plunge pools were great and the Nayara Tents resort was great to visit. Staff was great throughout all resorts and the food was amazing.

Best hotel experience we’ve had in a long time!

We booked Nayara Gardens as part of our last few days after spending 10 days in other areas of Costa Rica. It was the best way to end our vacation, everything at the hotel was amazing starting with the check in, the restaurants, the breakfast and a really nice touch which was that laundry of our clothes was included!

I would recommend Nayara Gardens a thousand times over. Absolutely amazing stay. My entire trip was incredible, and it was all made possible by the outstanding staff and the resort itself. I don’t have a single complaint — not one. I’ll definitely be back within the next six months. Special shoutout to John, Johan, and Francisco — they truly went above and beyond to make my stay exceptional. I celebrated my birthday and a few personal milestones while there, and the team made every moment feel special with thoughtful complimentary touches. Breakfast was included and hands down one of the best I’ve ever had. So many delicious and healthy options — I left the country craving their breakfast. Even though I didn’t get to meet the property manager, Luis, his leadership clearly shows through the entire team. Every staff member was kind, attentive, and dedicated to making sure guests had a perfect experience. If you’re planning a trip to Costa Rica, do yourself a favor — go to La Fortuna and stay at Nayara Gardens. Tell them I sent you.

The staff was so friendly that compensated for everything else. We had an unfortunate event on our first night with Housekeeping, and they tried to compensate us as much as possible, kindness and attention was our favorite reaction from all their personnel, from cart drivers, restaurants, SPAs, and the stars were the reception team. Alonso is a great asset for this property, he made us want to come back and resolved every request we had. Great property, PURA VIDA! Memorable experience for our family.

Nayara Gardens is a gorgeous luxury property. Our rainforest pool villa was even better than expected & I had sky high expectations. The grounds are amazing! Lush flora and fauna ♥️. We saw Sloths and many beautiful birds that you don’t see in the US. The varied dining options, the eager to please staff and various activities made this an unforgettable vacation. I would definitely go back and stay at this resort again & highly recommend it. The thermal spas were a beautiful place to relax. I cannot say enough good things about this property. Again, the rainforest villas with that thermal private infinity pool, outdoor and indoor showers & roomy layout are simply stunning.

We hated to leave! The grounds are beautiful. Jurassic Park meets Disneyland (but authentic and so so clean). The staff is the defining point on why I would come back over and over again. Beyond friendly, professional and make you feel so welcome. Yerlin in the Ayla’s dining room has an infectious smile, every bellman greats you and is happy to help you figure out what to do next or drive the property looking for sloths (Blanco, Jason and Jack Danny to name a few but all are fabulous). The food is delicious- you could stay on property and not miss a beat! Treat yourself to the spa - best!!! Yes, already planning our next trip - it’s that good!

More than worth the stay!

We had the most incredible time here. I read so many reviews for each resort in the area. I have been to Costa Rica before (for several months at a time), and I am well-traveled, so it was difficult. But I cannot wait to return to Nayara Gardens one day! The photos do not do it justice. The grounds are breath-taking. The customer service is top-notch. And the biggest surprise to me was that all three properties — Nayara Gardens, Nayara Springs and Nayara Tented Camps — are all interconnected and open to all guests (at least adults). So, the variety of restaurants, pools, amenities that was available was astounding and totally worth staying in one of these three facilities. Seriously, all the good things in other reviews are true. And we had absolutely nothing we could possibly complain about.

If you want to be pampered in your suite, have infinite pool within, launder your clothes for free every day, have a refrigerator full of eatables free, twice a day turn down service twice, see all kinds of animals and birds within the property, and have a lava-fed hot spring, and a golf cart service in the very hilly resort Najara gardens is the right place for you. I have stayed in many upscale hotels and this I would consider among the top except for a few minor blemishes. Upon arrival, both Noelle and Alonso welcomed us with the true Costan Rican spirit of “Pure Vida” and lived up to it through our three-night stay. Their tours are conducted by Jacamar (we took two of them, a real highlight to our trip-separately reviewed). You are inside the rain forest very close to the just now inactive Arenal volcano. So expect rain anytime of the day or night with significant wind and humidity. We were in April 2024 that was still considered to be a dry season, but it rained so heavily in the night that we were afraid to go on tour in the early morning at 5 am; we changed our mind, and we are glad we did. They have several restaurants that cater to a variety of food that are reasonably priced. The breakfast was very moderate considering all other aspects of the resort, and they even charged for cappuccino while it was free in the room. Compared to all the other staff, the staff at La Terraza were not that courteous or extra-friendly. Also, there is no easy way to go to the La Fortu
