We stayed here strictly for the amenities. We like quiet relaxing restful vacations. So we liked that this was in the jungle away from the bustle. We didn’t intend to go off Resort. Although we did do the beach shuttle one day you have to put your name on the list for shuttle. They only have two so there was a bit of a wait in the morning that I had researched also. We were going to book a cabana on arrival however, we found out they had to have been booked before through the hotel app. We always choose resorts with lazy rivers it’s most suited for our family of 6 ages 4-40. Previous reviews talked about the food not being overly exciting and that was true. There wasn’t a lot of choices for kids that like the Americanized foods. Very Mexican buffet for that I gave 4 stars. The amount of pools and hot tubs was stellar. They also had an ice cream shop that we frequented daily. And we were not able to get a reservation in the Japanese restaurant because they were booked up immediately and the rest of the days we were there they were not open. Our room was a fair bit off the mountain so pushing a stroller was extremely difficult and I consider myself to be fit. They did offer golf cart shuttles, but they never seem to be around and I didn’t have the patience to wait. I loved the hot style room with shower and bath wet room. Would still recommend for families aside from the food at buffet but you can visit the restaurant in the tower for tacos and fries for the kids.
