This hotel is slightly off the beaten path but is well worth it if you are not looking for the tourist-y experience. The locals and staff speak enough English, Korean, and other languages to get by easily enough but you are unlikely to encounter many foreigners on a regular basis. I originally planned to stay for one night but extended for 2 additional days because of the price, room size, staff, and location. The room was relatively large and the bathroom was the largest of any Asian hotel that I have stayed at. Hanshin station and Stadium are a couple of blocks away which made travel by train and subway easy and during baseball season ensured that the local restaurants were lively in the evening. The hotel does not allow room keys to leave the building, which may be slightly off-putting to Western visitors. The area takes a little bit of exploring, but there are plenty of great restaurants and bars to find as long as you are willing to explore the alleys and side streets.
