"Stayed in 1E for 2 nights. The hostel was difficult to find as there's only a tiny sign on the wall on the entrance of the building. The hostel has a homely and welcoming design with an area that looks like a living room, while the shared kitchen has two large dining tables. The kitchen also has a fridge/freezer, microwave, lots of utensils, cups and a water dispenser. My room had 8 bunks, 4 each against the walls with the central aisle free. "Biggest complaint was NO WIFI. - The booking listed "Free WiFi in rooms" but there was NO SIGNAL in our 3rd floor room. We had 7 guests, and more than 7 devices to try on (7 phones, plus laptops) and not a single one could get WiFi from the room. - This was a HUGE disappointment, as we could not get on the web, look up places to see or eat, watch videos, send text messages to each other, etc. The entire time actually in the room was horribly boring and limiting for this reason. Questionable...

"Great value hotel. Amazing view of the city. Room was huge and the staff were really helpful and generous. 9 minute walk to MRT and 5 minutes to the tram. Some delicious food places nearby too. Only downsides are a fairly old fashioned decor, and you need to wait 10 minutes between each person showering in order to let the hot water accumulate."

"The room was decent for our short stay in Kaohsiung. Deceng duze for 2 people. AC worked great, TV had some English channels. Most annoying thing was having to take 2 different elevators to get to the room. But, price fairly matched what we got. "
