Kahaluu Bay Across from Snorkel Beach - Awesome Ocean View

Ideally located just across the beach from Kahalu'u Beach Park. This is a great place to stay if you like to snorkel, surf and swim. If not, it is close to everything else.

Easily accessible, convenient and with good under water scenery, Kahalu'u Bay is the most user friendly Snorkel Beach on the island. Unit is large and has had recent upgrades.

The pool and BBQ overlooking the bay make a great spot to relax and congregate after a day of exploring and shopping!

And don't forget the awesome view

Amazing, beautiful condo!
I can’t leave a more positive review of this property. If you are visiting Kona - this is a must-stay property. Easily sleeps 5-6. Clean. Full kitchen. 2 large bathrooms and bedrooms. Super comfy, large couch in the living room. The porch (lanai) was amazing. By far the BEST view of the ocean and sunsets. It had plenty of beach towels, beach toys (including paddle board, boogie boards, snorkel gear and flippers, among other things including a roller cart to bring across the street to the beach). We used the BBQ and pool almost every day. It was central to everything. The in-unit laundry was a bonus as well!! To top it off, Duane and Cheri were incredibly helpful and responsive. Thank you so much!!! If you don’t book this property, I guarantee you will regret it.

Ideal location
Within eyesight of snorkel/surf beach at Kahalu'u. Close to shopping and restaurants, but far enough away from downtown so as not to feel crowded. Sunsets every night were spectacular. Whales and dolphins cruised by almost every evening we were there. Pool was just perfect for late afternoon cooldowns. and the AC made the inside living area perfectly comfortable.....when we weren't out on the deck enjoying the killer view. We loved it.

The condo was an absolute gem for our vacation. The balcony offered breathtaking views of the bay, especially during sunset, creating a truly magical atmosphere. Everything we needed was provided in the unit, making our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The location was perfect for surfing and snorkeling enthusiasts, with easy access to these activities within walking distance. The pool was a major highlight for my kids, offering endless fun and relaxation. It served as a fantastic home base for exploring other adventures around the island. Fantastic location and view
What a wonderful gem! We took our adult kids with us for Christmas week and stayed in this condo. The kitchen was well equipped and the beach amenities were a hit. We had a wonderful day trip to the volcano park. The beach across the street was amazing and a short walk to surf or snorkel. The owner was super responsive!

We were happy to be away from the hustle and bustle of town, yet close enough to drive in for a dinner. Also close to other restaurants that didn’t require paid or comp’d parking. Home was clean and sunny and well loved. Better weather would have encouraged us to check out the pool but it was great having the surfers and sunset to watch from the third floor lanai!

Perfect family retreat
Clean and spacious apartment right next to some great snorkeling. Tidepools there were perfect for our toddler to splash around. We used the pool and BBQ multiple days and watched the sunset. The road out front is busy, but it's a very convenient location for day trips

Beautiful view of water, condo was extremely well supplied, clean, comfortable, good amount of space, on top floor of 3 story building. Wonderful beach across the road, a 4 minute walk (along ocassionally busy street) to get to main snorkeling area which itself was quite nice. Dedicated parking space but tight to navigate for larger vehicles. Hosts were responsive. Would book again. Highly recommend.

Location! Location! Location! If you are on the Big Island for snorkeling and beaches like us, you will like this place. It is just a 5-minute walk to Kahaluʻu Beach, 20 minutes driving to two steps and Captain Cook. The house has everything you need, from snorkeling gear, boogie boards, noodles, and life jackets to beach chairs. Well-equipped Kitchen. We cooked breakfast and dinner every day. The owner is very easy to communicate with. He also checked in with you before, during, and after your trip. We would love to come back next time.

Perfect place! Great stay!
We absolutely loved our stay at this comfortable two bedroom unit. After having stayed at a hotel in Honolulu and another on the Big Island for a family wedding, this condo was the relaxing change of pace we wanted for our last week in Hawaii. Everything was sparkling clean and as described when we arrived. My husband loved cooking in the well appointed kitchen that had everything we needed and more. One of our favourite things was enjoying our morning coffee on the lanai while watching the surfers in the ocean across the street. The view is perfect for watching the waves roll in or beautiful sunsets. It was great having the snorkelling equipment and boogie boards that could be used just down the street at Kahalu’u Beach Park. You can buy groceries nearby at the shopping centre if you have a car or hop on the Kona Trolley which is free to ride. The outdoor barbecue and pool area are beautifully landscaped and in between sightseeing and beach activities, we spent many hours floating in the pool which we had all to ourselves more than once. Duane was easy to work with and responded to questions quickly if we had any. All in all, we had a wonderful time and would love to come back again sometime.

Great apartment
Apartment is on 3rd floor with a balcony facing the ocean with an ocean view of surfing, snorkeling and sunsets. Property also has a nice little pool to play in. We would definitely try to stay there again next time in Kona.

We love it here! It was our third time at this place. We love that it has a pool and is so close to such great snorkeling. The view is amazing, lovely for staying in on nights or evenings where you need to rest. We played games and just enjoyed a slower pace. Wonderful memories.

Great Location and Vacation
The condo was perfect for our vacation. It had a great view of the bay that had both surfing and snorkeling. Both of which were within walking distance. The condo included a pool that both my 7 and 8 year old kids thoroughly enjoyed. It was also a great place to base ourselves out of for other adventures around the island.

Great getaway location!
Huge thanks to Duane for keeping in continual communication when the start to our trip was rocky (due to the exploding volcano). He provided wisdom and was calm despite my less than calm state. Hearing how things have been for the thirty years before we arrived reminded me that great states like Hawaii and Alaska (where we are from) do differ. Our friends arrived two days before we did since the snowstorm on Seattle also affected us, and the condo was ready and contained all of the amenities we would need to make it our home. Great location with easy parking access! Beach is just across the road and we just took the rig when we wanted to venture further than our feet would allow. We enjoyed the play toys and tips found on-site left from past guests. The outdoor grills are shared and not in good shape, but they did well for the best meal we had on our vacation. Don’t let appearances fool you. Our only disappointment was in knowing the washing machine had a meltdown and we were unable to help start a load before we left for the airport. We notified Duane as soon as we knew and have faith his contractor took care of it before the next guest arrived. His communication was superior! We enjoyed our time with our friends and were very pleased this condo comfortably fit two independent couples. Mahalo!

I booked this condo based on the stellar reviews and now I see the reason why! This was a fantastic place to spend Thanksgiving 2022 and to use as a home base to explore the island. Duane was a wonderful host—great communicator, super responsive, and committed to making sure we had everything we needed. The unit was clean and super well appointed with pretty much everything you could think of, especially the beach gear. Beds are very comfortable, and so was the hide-a-bed (which is always a crap shoot) which worked out great for our kids. The pool area was lovely and great for BBQs and lounging. We enjoyed beautiful sunsets and great snorkeling across the street, though wear water shoes or your feet will pay the price. Thanks for the great time Duane and Cheri!
