Catherine, I am very sorry you were disappointed with the grill and griddle along with the pool not heated. I verified the information on VRBO and it states the Grill/Griddle cannot be used (we provide an outside grill and an electric griddle) also the information under the pool states it is a salt water pool and not heated. The reason for not allowing the indoor grill in the Summer Kitchen is for safety. Initially a guest left the grill on overnight and was dangerously close to starting a fire. The grill is safe, but sometimes grills are left on. We thought this was the best method to protect our guests I did not know the fireplace had an issue. If you had called, I would have repaired immediately. I hope you will come again. If you do, I will make sure you are compensated for your inconvenience.
