We'll be back!
We loved our stay. The pictures of the condo and the view don't do it justice. The corner unit and extra windows were very nice. Very comfortable and the kitchen had everything you could possibly need. We had to move things to make room for food. 😅 I had questions before arriving and when we were leaving and got very prompt responses. I miss the sound of the ocean. Can't wait to return!

Ants and Gnats
• When we arrived, we saw ants on the counter and on the stove and gnats were in all the rooms. I contacted property management and they said they would send someone out the next day to spray. He came the next day and sprayed regular bug spray which helped with the ants but not the gnats. I called back and they replied they would have gnat traps delivered. I only received 2 in spite of having gnats in all the rooms. The ants were back the next day and the gnats were never gone. I even found dead gnats inside the refrigerator. It was very upsetting that every time I walked into the kitchen I had to check for ants and had to fight with the gnats landing on food and lighting in your drinks. This ruined the trip for us. • Having only 1 RF chip to access the pool and beach was very inconvenient. If anyone was on the beach they had to come back to let others access the pool or beach. Using a code lock would be a much better choice. • In the master bedroom the sheetrock seams in the ceiling had been painted over at some point and the paint was flaking off. • I called and requested a discount on the rental and received about $85. This was not nearly enough for the ant and gnat issue we endured. • Assigned parking spaces were confusing done in a seemingly random manner. The best parking spaces were the non-assigned spaces close to the building. • Location was good and décor was nice especially the items on the walls.

Out of Control Parties
First 3 days were good, next 2 were so bad we left early. Out of control parties being held directly below our condo. We called the emergency number for the condo, I was told Vacasa doesn’t get involved in disputes. Thus we called 911. Not much changed. We were told by Vacasa mgmt & head of maintenance that there would be no more issues. And if there was an issue, the tenants would be thrown out. Didn’t happen. I’m fact nothing happened. Twice the people showed up the second night, approx 40-50. Yelling, screaming, doors being beat on & slamming were over the top. I reported the same issue to the Vacasa emergency number & was told they would investigate. Called 911 again. Nothing happened again. We decided to leave one day early rather than chance another sleepless night. We reported the issues again the day we left & have heard nothing back. I guess acceptance of problems is okay with Vacasa. We drove over 1400 miles & paid just under $3000 for the condo. NEVER staying at this condo again. If you have problems that need addressed, forget it Vacasa doesn’t care. Wonder what the condo owner thinks? Hope they read this review.

Great unit
This is an updated and nicely remodeled unit compared to others we have stayed in over the years at Amelia South. One negative is the “smart TV” in the living room. It would go blank and freeze. Maintenance changed the batteries in the remote but that didn’t help. It would be nice if there were cable for folks like my senior citizen parents to easily navigate the channels and see local news and weather. We always enjoy our time on Amelia island and most likely will return, if the prices don’t keep rising! Lol

Great spot for a quiet beach vacation
Perfect 2nd floor location with super views of the ocean off the deck. Comfortable and clean, offers plenty of amenities to cook. Fridge is relatively new and large as is the dish washer. We liked how the floors were tiled, not carpeted. Pool and beach seconds away, very accessible. Good location, somewhat centered on the Fernandina beach close to historic section as well as Harris Teeter in the other direction.

The good and bad and ugly
The view is and the beautiful and this condo is convenient to many restaurants .and roads We love the location. However there is room for improvement . The baseboards were dirty. The family room TV difficult to navigate and when I called for assistance I was told the tech would call me back but never did. There was a clump of hair in the master shower drain which was disgusting . There was only one reading lamp in the living room -the other lamp was in a closet (apparently not working). One light on the porch was burned out. The entry lock has a TEN digit code that sometimes worked on the 1st try but most often had to be tried 2 or 3 times. Last but very annoying...we had only one fob for entering the pool area and beach which meant three of us had to always be together. Very inconvenient!!! You asked that we start a load of wash before departing but left no laundry detergent.

Relaxing beach stay
Our family felt right at home in this nicely updated beachfront condo! It was the perfect amount of space for our family of 5, and we enjoyed the extras provided, such as the sand toys and beach chairs! The space was clean and comfy! We will definitely be back!

great quiet get a way
This was a great place to stay as a family. Only one restaurant within walking distance so I suggest going to the grocery and cooking in. People below us were smoking on their balconey so this limited use of our balcony since the smoke was very noxious. The condo was very clean, kitchen was well stocked with all the essentials. Linens and beds were comfy.

Girls Getaway
The unit was perfect for our 3 day getaway. The kitchen was well stocked, the beds were comfortable, check in was easy and the unit was clean. It was nice being an end unit, it seemed a little more private. Being right on the beach made it easy to watch the sunrise and go sharks teeth hunting. We’ve all decided we are going to make a our trip an annual event and will definitely consider stayin in this unit again!

Great Location and Wonderful Beach View!
We had a really great stay, the condo was very nice and as pictured. Waking up and sitting on the balcony to the beach each morning and each evening was wonderful and the distance to the pool and beach was perfect! The only thing I would highly recommend is replacing the mattress in the master bedrooom, very soft and caved in where sleeping, halfway through the trip my husband and I both were very sore waking up. I would also suggest the sofa as well, just very worn and not very comfortable for the main gathering area. We would definitely stay again and hopefully these things will be corrected to make it more enjoyable for future guests!

Great beach condo in a great beach town!
This was my family's first trip to Amelia Island, and we are so happy we selected this property! The location is absolutely perfect. You're 5 minutes from grocery stores, coffee shops, and all the restaurants you could want. But the condo itself is truly amazing. It's well-appointed, has all the comforts of home, and everything you need to have a wonderful beach vacation. An added bonus is that it's a corner unit, which makes it feel more like a standalone beach house rather than a typical beach condo. We will most definitely be back!

Beautiful property!
We had a great stay at this condo. It was super clean, way above my high standards. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. The view was spectacular and we loved being steps away from the beach. It was really nice that there were beach chairs/towels and even some pool floats and a beach umbrella for our use. I would give five stars if the master mattress was a little less saggy, and I would also suggest replacing the bath towels. Also I wish there was cable too, although not watching the news was a nice break from reality!I would definitely stay there again.

Perfect for the beach
Beautiful clean updated condo with comfortable beds. We didn't get instructions for clean up so I hope we did ok and the dishwasher wouldn’t turn on for us. Also prior to my stay I asked a question and didn’t get a reply. On VRBO, using Turnkey is a bit impersonable in comparison to booking a condo from the owners BUT I’m not sure if that is good or bad bc sometimes the owners are too involved. Overall it was a wonderful experience and I will def be using this condo again. Thank you. The condo was just lovely!!

Great area and condo for the perfect relaxing getaway
First time on Amelia Island and enjoyed the beaches, friendly people, history, and things to see/do. Booking through VRBO was easy and the property manager was quick to answer our questions. This very clean and well-supplied corner condo has the best views in the complex - perfect for relaxing when we weren't exploring the beach. So glad we made the trip!!

Beautiful property Issue with lock
This property was well decorated and in a lovely location. Quick access to the beach. Lovely balcony to watch the waves roll in. The only issue we had was the punch lock was broken. It took us 30 minutes to gain access to the property once we arrived. We had to utilize the key to enter the home. It took us 5 to 8 minutes each time we left to get the deadbolt on and key removed. Only Netflix is available in the unit no cable or local channels.

Very nice apartment with great View but a few glitches in support
My wife and I enjoyed the place in all respects. Our after-hours arrival was a little clumsy because the automated lock does not work. It was never repaired. After pounding through some automated menus we reach someone who helped us find a key that was in a lock box. That was some good thinking. We have been told that the automated lock would be fixed but no one ever came. It was handy that it was not some more essential feature of our unit. I said almost daily texts to someone named Tanya on this and several other issues but never heard back to a single one. Because of the way the lock was structured it was not clear how I was to leave the apartment when I left. Again I texted Tonya but never got back. Thankfully a very nice cleaning lady came right at checkout time which meant that I could give her the key. I mentioned this support failure mostly for the benefit of Turn Key Rentals but I do want to mention that the condominium and the view is really excellent. A final thing to mention is that there is no television so we ended up buying sling in order to meet that function. Theoretically, we would have access to the Netflix account on the television although we have our own. Something was wrong with Netflix on that TV so we ended up watching everything through my laptop as projected to the TV. I don't watch sports but if you were having some time off and which watching football games was important then this would not be the place to stay. But the deck is great, there's lots of nice things to do around there, and the beach walking is the best around

Great location but needs maintenance
The location, the view, the updated kitchen and bathrooms were great. However there small items that should be addressed, such as broken toilet paper holders, broken lamps and the biggest disappointment was the inoperable drapes and windows in the master bedroom. We visited the beach for the view but was unable to see it due to lack of repairs. At least they left a note stating “do not open- may result in serious injuries “.

The unit is nicely updated compared to others we have rented at Amelia South over the last 35 years. Do not care for the Roku TV, but that is just having senior citizens on vacation that like “regular local tv”. Idk what covid cleaning standards are but we found a few items that didn’t get cleaned by regular standards; like what appeared to be chocolate in the dining chair seat, wet muddy beach toys in the closet, dirty spoon rest, etc With all the vinyl flooring they need to have a broom, and at least one of the storage or linen closets open to use, both are locked. We like a corner unit and the second floor so this is the perfect location for us. It is a nicely remodeled unit though compared to others at this condominium.

We were notified daily about excessive noise even when we were not in the room, which upset us. Also the code lock was broken and we could not get into the room for about an hour making us rush to get to the wedding. They also never came when they said the would to fix it and complained when we weren't there when they come....we are on vacation we were not wasting it sitting in the room. We were very disappointed!

Great location and nicely updated unit
The condo is updated and clean inside and far nicer than the building, which is a little scary looking in the common areas. The kitchen is well stocked and it is a very comfortable place to stay. The management company is very responsive. The windows and doors are the only part of the unit that have not been updated so it is difficult to open them. The only issue we had was the tv situation - essentially unwatchable because Netflix would not work ( the app is not loaded on the tv) and we could not use our Hulu account on the Vizio tv (there is an incompatibility with this particular model). The other TVs do not have Hulu loaded on them. Overall, a great location and value.

Nice Beach Getaway
The condo was very nice with modern beach decor and also a good size for our family of 5. The corner balcony is a perk if you like to sit outside and enjoy the patio. The beach view from the condo was stunning and was only a 2 minute walk from our location. The only complaint I had was on the cleanliness of the details. It looked clean from afar, but up close everything felt dingy and grimy. Floors felt dirty on your feet, sheets had black makeup stains through out, the refrigerator handle and the kitchen cabinet knobs were very grimy with caked on food. Lots of floor corners and base boards were very dusty. Would’ve rated this a 5 if better deep cleaning was done before each guest. Overall, I would recommend this location for a family beach getaway, just bring some cleaning wipes with you ;)

A friend and I stayed here for a girls weekend. This condo was perfect. It’s a corner end unit, so very quiet, with amazing views directly on the ocean. The condo itself is beautifully decorated. Nicely updated kitchen and bathrooms. Furniture, appliances, flooring, etc. look new. Very comfortable beds. We had everything we needed. Even beach chairs, towels and toys were available. The location was great, close to stores and restaurants. The entire rental process was very easy. We never once had to contact the rental agency and that says a lot. It’s not a deal breaker, but would have loved blackout curtains in the master bedroom. Will definitely stay here again.

Beautiful, renovated condo right on the beach!
My daughters and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely, renovated condo. It's an end unit, so the balcony offers sweeping views of the beach and ocean. Communication with the property management company was great. My one suggestion is some kind of instructions on the thermostat; it would just randomly adjust to 86 degrees and we were constantly trying to figure out how to set it to a reasonable temp. Even so, I would recommend this property without any reservations. It's awesome!

The place was beautiful and nicely decorated. We had an issue with the Nest thermostat and called the maintenance people but they never showed up. Other than that problem, it was a great place to stay.

Our family truly enjoyed our stay at Amelia South in Fernandina Beach. Our condo was very nice and the views were spectacular! We plan to vacation in the area again in the next year or two and already know where we'll book!

Awesome Vacation Condo!
This was a last minute vacation booking for us. We were hoping to find a cozy and comfortable condo for our family. This place exceeded our expectations in both price and comfort. It was beautifully decorated, and immaculate. The beds were super comfortable. The view from the balcony was breath taking. We loved the convenience of the booking process with Turnkey.
