Good accommodation for a one night stay. Close to beach for a morning walk, good dining across the road. Breakfast at the hotel really good, although you have to time it so you get a seat as a small dining area.

I am not very critical of a property for being outdated but this place is definitely not what you see in the advertised pictures. The staff of the hotel lacked manners and customer service, with the exception of the housekeeping staff. They were very accommodating and very nice. I will never stay in that place again, sometimes a hotel lacks few amenities but customer service makes up for it but the staff of this hotel was determined to make us feel unwelcome.

For the amount of money I paid, I certainly was not expecting a room with a cracked and patched ceiling that hadn't been repainted to match the room. I also expected the frig to have a freezer section like every other place I've stayed. I couldn't refreeze my freezer packs for the next part of my trip, having to stop to buy ice and drink hot water.

My initial check in with Chris on May 1 was great , he gave us directions to local landmarks and recommendations for restaurants which we followed and they were exceptional. I decided to extend my stay another day the check in for May 2 was the opposite. I believe his name was Greg he was very rude and if he had been at check in on my initial check in I probably wouldn’t have stayed another day.

I liked the location. It was clean and nice except that I had a second floor room and it smelled like a skunk had been in the hallway when I arrived late afternoon. Smell was gone the next morning,so they took care of it overnight.

I liked that the hotel was just across from the beach. I didn't like that there were toothpaste spatters on the bathroom mirror and dirty sheets on one bed. The housekeeping crew had already left for the day but the lady at the front desk gave us some Windex, paper towels and clean sheets and we handled it because, if they moved us we would have had to play " musical rooms" all weekend and that's not what we came to the beach to do.

I loved the location because all we had to do was walk across the street to the beach. The beach location has a restroom, boardwalk and a parking lot. There are several restaurants across the street buuut Sliders across the street can be noisy at night if you’re in a street side/beach side room. This is a great stay!!

The location is ideal for all that is in Fernandina (walkable). We did have issues with the TV, and although the hotel can't control this, we witnessed a lot of people not staying at the hotel parking in their lot and more importantly, participating in their free breakfast. They also seemed a little short staffed (like everyone else) which resulted in slow response time from the front desk. But, we would definitely stay there again.
