A beautiful active city.
Great food. Very affordable. Really enjoyed the overall experience.
Crete is a large island, so pick your base city according to your planned activities. We had to rent a car to be able to go various locations and couldn’t do Samaria gorge because it’s too far for organized tours.
Didn’t know the island was so big and when I got there I had to rent a car to see all the amazing sites around but very nice place and needed more time knowing how much there was to see.
