Vahalla is by far the nicest place to stay in the area - super friendly staff and well equipped room in beautiful setting. It wasn’t a busy season when we stayed so it was nice and quiet for a great nights sleep. The restaurant gets mixed review - probably better during busier times - it was clearly minimally staffed and not up to expectations. We did appreciate the restrictions on age of children at the property and wish more places did this.

Cannot speak highly enough about the staff, particularly Jan, and all the others that helped make our long weekend stay in Helen magical! The grounds were clean and well-kept. We loved having dinner at the restaurant overlooking the mountains, with our nightcap at the rooftop bar. Golf was a challenge but an absolutely gorgeous course! This property is very conveniently located to Helen and many hiking trails, vineyards, and great food!
