Sugar Beach Condos are walking distance to restaurants, shopping, Gulf Shores festivals, and beach activities. We also have an onsite snack beach bar available. Sugar Beach is an economical, family-oriented Orange Beach condominium complex. One of the areas most popular vacation destinations. We have four pools, a tennis court, covered parking and a large beach!

Our family has been taking care of vacationers to Alabama’s Gulf Coast for over 25 years. Sugar Beach Condos is probably the most family-oriented complex with so many fun amenities!

This unit is Gulf Side, not Gulf Front. You do not have to cross the street to get to the beach. Although you do not have a view of the gulf from your balcony, all you have to do is walk down the hall to the elevator -- down the elevator and you are on the beach!

This Sugar Beach unit sleeps 2 adults & 2 kids. It has a Queen Bed plus a Hide-A-Bed Sofa in motel-sized room. It has a full kitchen, bathroom & private balcony. This is a great budget-friendly way to enjoy a beach vacation. We, however, do not typically recommend these units for 4 adults or families with older children simply because of the lack of privacy and space.

Condo conundrums
Our property manager was extremely accommodating, our room had a awful smelll upon arrival so we were moved rooms but due to the problem of having not a room available for the length of our stay, we had to switch again halfway through our trip. Multiple pool closures at the condo complex resulted in no one knowing where to go tanning/swimming for three days. The construction that was occurring 10ft from the property(and our balcony) began at 7 am and didn’t finish until 7am. We couldn’t have the door wall open or use the balcony at all. It was so loud you couldn’t talk over it and the dust that coated everything wasn’t worth wiping down every two seconds. We spent majority of our days outside of the condo doing activities bc the condo was such a disappointment. I’ve stayed at sugar beach for 10 years and never have had an experience like this before

We loved Sugar Beach's location, pools, and beaxh. Lartigue's across the road is a big plus.We were comfortable and enjoyed our stay, but the 202 condo needs repairs.

All furniture was very old and outdated. (especially for the rental price). The surrounding properties were much better. We left 2 days before our reservation expired. Finally, this was the first time I have ever stayed in a one bedroom condo. which turned out to be a 1 (one) room condo!!

Mr. Don is a very attentive host. The unit we stayed in was not what we were looking for and is in need of a major update, but the pools and beach were nice and very well cared for. I suggest calling Mr. Don as he can help you directly as using VRBO is way over priced for the accommodations received. The location has several nice places to eat in town.

Renovations needed
The room is in desperate need of a deep cleaning as well as a much needed renovation. Tub is cracked/busted and water is leaking under the floor tiles and wood baseboards and door frame in bathroom is rotted. Popcorn ceilings are peeling off and there are many poorly patched spots on ceilings. Walls need to be painted and many of the light bulbs were burned out. Water heater needs to be adjusted, water is so hot it could easily scald a young child and the owner could be liable in a law suit. I would recommend that this condo be taken off rent until renovations are done. It’s way to much money to pay for a place that’s in such bad condition. There is also no deadbolt or night latch on the door so it’s not very secure.

Great little condo for a family getaway!
Don was great! The condo was just we needed for our little family of 3. The microwave quit working and Don brought us a new one within an hour! Our stay was divided into 2 different condos-no biggie. Things happen. The first condo was a little outdated, but still had everything we needed and very homey. The second condo was updated and just as homey. We loved the care we were given by done and the staff at Sugar Beach Condos. We will definitely be back for a visit in the future!

Home away from home
The condo was cozy and met all of our needs. Mr.Don was incredibly kind and welcoming. If you are looking for stuffy, luxury accommodations this isn’t for you. If you are looking for a place that has a home like feeling in a relaxed, family friendly atmosphere, then this is just the ticket. I highly recommend Mr. Don as an attentive property owner.

Great location for beach access
Perfect size for my daughter and I and our girls’ trip. Great covered parking. Elevator was kind of iffy sometimes, but was better than climbing stairs all the time. Don, the host, was great in making sure we had what we needed.

Great owner but----
This is very difficult. If I was reviewing the owner, it would be 5 stars plus. He was extremely accommodating and responsive, but the condo First the carpet was new, the bed comfortable, the place was clean and beach access was great. However, this was not professionally maintained. Drapes a foot too long, cable wires not secured, paint splotches on electrical covers, small damage on counter with a failed attempt at repair. Very very small. Decorating non existent with small rummage sale type furniture. I really hate to give this review, but I owe future guests the truth. The bottom line is, if you want beach access with a great owner and are not fussy about the room, this is for you. If not, you may want to pass.
