The Gold Star is a good place for one night. Is not the greatest but for the price of $110.00 it’s not that bad. The bedding and towels looks like it’s years old and dingy. You may want to bring your own. The tub is actually a sono and quite high to get into. This is an old hotel and in need of some serious upgrades. Our room smelled like Indian incense for a room that was supposed to be none smoking. Like I said for the price it’s not the worst for one night. I would not pay anymore than $125.00 per night to stay here.

Room windows were stuck open and broken and wouldn’t close.. room door to the suite and walls in the suite had holes in them some had patches covering them walls weren’t painted.. the heat nor AC worked so we froze the night a way..it wasn’t what was advertised I was very disappointed especially with the great price we got it at..

The room was very, very dirty. sticky stuff on the floor. Shower never got warm enough to get in. holes in the walls. Looked like someone tried to break down bathroom door at some point and they tried to slap a piece of wood up not covering the whole thing used sheet rock screws six of them. We thought about leaving, we were just there to go to Foxwoods and thought we are just sleeping here. Checked for bedbugs so thought what the Heck. You get what you pay for it was only 80.00 for the night.

Ceiling was leaking from an 8x8 hole.. owners thought giving me a bucket to catch the water was acceptable. Asked a refund. They refused until I stated I would contact Expedia and provide photos and videos of the damaged ceiling and bucket full of water.
