"My husband and I spent my 60th birthday here. It was perfect! The cottage is exactly as described and pictured. The owners were very quick to respond with any questions we had. It was a very comfortable place to stay and enjoy the beautiful Houghton Lake. We rented a pontoon boat for a day and had an absolute blast! We will definitely be coming back!"

"The reason for our stay was to get out of the heat in Florida! We used to have a place at Higgins Lake until 3 years ago. We always enjoyed it here. It's a different pace of life compared to downstate and Florida. More relaxing. We miss that. We enjoyed our stay at the cottage. They made sure it was equipped with everything you would need. I have been unfortunately under the weather so I really enjoyed laying on the couch with the cozy fireplace on watching Netflix. "Had a very nice stay. Everything was supplied for anything we needed. Arriving in the dark was tricky as you it was hard to find but the owner was very helpful directing us to the location. Generator is very quiet and can barely hear it run if needed. Very easy to start. Very clean. Would definitely stay again"
