"We had a very pleasent stay at this house beautifully located at the edge of the forest, directly at the Rothar Steig. The house has everything you may need for an active stay in the Sauerland and is very comfortable. We will definetly stay again. "

"It is a really fabulous historic building that has been restored to it's former glory. The apartment is on the upper floor and covers the whole floor. So it is latge and comfortable with a small backyard looking balcony. We really enjoyed our stay. A backery is just around the corner and downtown Elmshorn just a few minute walk away. The Hosts are very friendly and welcoming and accommodating. Could not have asked for better hosts. We loved it!"

"A lovely, well-equipped house in a stunning location with its own fabulous garden. Brilliant for our family group of 10. Lots to do locally. The gem museum, gem mine, Celtic settlement were great trips and the open-air swimming pool in Rhaunen was much enjoyed. We visited Herrstein twice! Klaus and Anna were really helpful hosts. Highly recommended."

"Die Wohnung ist genau wie beschrieben. Hatten lange keine so saubere Wohnung mehr. Alles vorhanden, von Geschirrtabs über Toilettenpapier. Der Ausblick ist toll, genau aufs Haff, Ostsee nur 5 Minut enentfernt. Für Leute mit Gehbehinderung genau richtig. Zur Wohnung eine Treppe rauf, trotz Unterarmgehstützen gut machbar.. Bei uns in der Zwischensaison war es sehr ruhig. Man konnte schon überall Essen gehen, die Preise im mittleren Bereich. Uns hat es so gut gefallen dass wir im Herbst wieder...

We loved the view in morning I was worry that because our room in the basement and I thought will be dark and not cool, but this has wonderful views just like in TV show and the roof doesn’t have air conditioning but it doesn’t need it because it’s cool and cold and we have to cover with blankets. Wir würden die Unterkunft jederzeit wieder buchen. Danke für das schöne Wochenende. Kleiner Tip noch am Rande. Für Gäste mit ganz kleinen Kindern - Steckdosenschutz einpacken. Die waren nicht vorhanden."

"This is a very nice holiday home for a family. Many hiking tracks near by, lakes and spas. The house has everything you need for a longer or shorter stay, sauna and a hot tub. The property manager is very helpful and quickly responds to any queries you might have. We would go back for sure!"
